Time to dust off the old diary and pick up where we left off now exams are all done with:j :j :j

It is proving difficult to pay extra off the debt with Bean's arrival approaching. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable about how little we've got in (the wee thing will look v cute but stnk to high heaven, have to sleep in a drawer and have to be carried everywhere (on foot) as things stand because although decisions have been made so far nothing has actually been purchased/received other than a few bits of clothing, 3 muskin squares a single packet of Newborn pampers (to get free changing bag) and a sterilising unit....

    Methinks I need a list!!!:rotfl:

Bean is due 13 weeks today:eek: , exam results due 10 weeks yesterday:p

Managed to make some small MSE progress today and fixed a new 0% balance transfer for 14 months:money: Paypal runs out 15 Dec so I think I squeaked in in the nick of time. Managed to get Egg transferred too so all cc debt will be at 0% until Jan 2010 (although I'm hoping it'll be gone by then;) and I'll just have the loan left)

Start a thread either here or on Old Style about what you *really* need for a new child. Just reading around, some people spend far too much on stuff they never use.

Thanks Z. We've actually got quite a short list of basics to get. Ging to mostly wait until Bean arrives and see what we need then but the poor mite will definitely need a bed and some transport:p

Further progress on management of finance made today:A

Have finally phoned student loans co to arrange deferrment of repayments while I'm on maternity leave (I'm on old style mortgage repayment ones rather than salary deduction so it doesn't happen automatically). A little bit miffed to have to do it as I would have finished paying them next year but hey-ho...

Also got a loan statement through from A&L and I'm in a better position than I thought. I hadn't realised they work out the full interest and add it on at the start so had been calculating things based on the monthly position. The rounding made me a few ££££s worse off. Its only around a tenner but every little helps:D

I've been feeling a bit bleugh all week and finally succumbed and stayed in bed rather than going to work this morning.

I'm planning to try out adapting a recipe to make cookies or muffins with Milo as a surprise for HUbbles and I'm making lasagne for dinner tonight. Then this afternoon I'm going to clear the dining table and get on with round 2 of card making. I figure I've got about 60 to make in total and so far I have 20 so I'm on track so long as I don't run out of inspiration!

Tomorrow is ante natal class 3 - all about labour and pain relief:eek: :D then I think we're going to get some Xmas shopping done. Normally we'd do a one day marathon but I think we'll have to break it down into chunks:o

On the MSE side, the cc debts are now all on Tescos but not off Egg/Paypal as yet. I've set up the DD to pay the tesco card. I'm going to keep the Egg card as its still by far the lowest interest rate, even though they've put it up to 12.9% plus its cash back so if I'm in need I have a card. Paypal will be cancelled:A

    Hope everyone's well
