    I have a cunning plan...

Instead of waiting until the end of the month to see how much spare cash I've got I'm going to put £200 of the £300 that SHOULD be spare into my HBoS account at the START of the month and then I just won't be able to spend it on anything frivolous.

IF there's an absolute emergency I can still spend form that account but as I generally don't carry the switch card for that account I won't be able to impulse shop!

AND it will reduce how much interest I'm paying at that ridiculous rate.

PLUS when I see the balance go down super quickly it'll motivate me not to spend

    How does that sound people??

    :T :T Sounds like a plan Luc:T :T

When OH wages goes into the bank we immediately transfer all the funds that arent needed to pay DD's into an A&L current account which has a better rate of interest. This helps us not spend anything we shouldnt and the bills always get paid.

Hi Lucifa, Just read your thread. Congrats on the 'bean' news like the term, my first bump was called 'bouncer' and he is now 13! Like the plan of putting the money away at the start, you will be loathe to take it out unless a dire emergency. I will be following your thread with interest.

Thanks Lucielle. Next payday is 26 August so that will be the day the transfer is made;)

We called it Bean cos I found out at 6 weeks when, according to the NHS website it was 'the size of a small bean with bumps where the arms and legs would be' and its stuck even though its probably approaching the grapefruit stage now :P

Well I had an interesting weekend. Almost got a cat but head is kicking in and talking heart out of it. Luckily kitten wasn't ready to take home there and then else it'd be too late!

I've also started getting funny spells where I feel all dizzy, clammy and faint. Midwife reassured me it sometimes happens and if it persists/gets worse to get an appointment at surgery.

Bought a couple of baby books (one for dad to be and one for me!) and a little bodysuit. I'm actually quite pleased that I have managed to resist the cute clothes for so long... Starting to think about getting in toiletries etc to spread the cost and maybe a few basics. I've been advised not to get too much newborn stuff as presents generally covers clothing for the first couple weeks.

Other than that, just studying, sleeping, working and trying not to eat too much of the wrong things else I'll balloon!

    Hey Lucifa!

Thought I'd come over from "the other side" and the pregnancy club to jabber on your diary.

Hope you're feeling better with the dizzy spells. Perhaps you're overheating a bit? Since Ive found out about our little bean (so called because we found at at the same age you did, and we read that it was currently the size of a coffee bean, and I work in tea/coffee industry so it seemed quite fitting!) I've been really hot.
Mostly on my upper body but my head and chest is constantly hot. I have to dab myself down with a wet flannel 3 of 4 times during the day, as I found I was getting a bit headachey and sweaty.... just a thought anyway. That or maybe you should try and drink more fluids?

Whats books did you get? We've got Pregnancy for Dummies which is quite amusing.
