Hmmm. I'm really p'd off at myself right now:mad: .
I've had a terrible weekend, not because anything bad happened but because I'm cr*p. I even missed the Glasgow meet and am gutted because the pics look like it was a fab day.
Managed not to spend much (£38 spent at Morrison's but included £10 for 2 months supply of dishwasher tablets with free w/up liquid). Must update sig.
Anyway. Need to draw a line under the last few days and move on...26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

First of all change your location - in your head at least. You've done well on the not spending much so it's not all bad.
Hope you are feeling cheerier soon. x
P.S. we know you didn't come to the meet cos you're really an old bloke called Malky!;)Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Feeling a bit better today. Not quite firing on all cylinders but getting there.
Kept within budget yesterday with no extra spends so quite chuffed. Often when I get down I'll go out and by junk food or shoes and I did neither.:A
Hubbles fully approves of the bounty bites and was gutted when I told him that because of the sugar content I'd only be making them once a month max and when they're gone they're gone:rolleyes:
Should be a NSD today if you don't count the train fare. Worked out its marginally cheaper if I get a Zone card rather than pay every day. They run from Sunday to Saturday so I'll pick a weekly one up at the end of the week. When I can I'll get a longer running (as its a bigger saving) one but I need to work out my weeks as its only worthwhile if I use the train at least 5 days out of 7.
Anyway - things are looking up. Must change location.
Thanks for the kick up the ares Skint:p

Its now 4.10pm and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bored. Finished my current workload for today at about 11am and since then been filling in time with studying and reading technical updates (yawn) and hopping on and off this forum. Just 65mins until I can go home. My days are such a waste of time at the moment. Ah well - at least I'm getting paid to sit on my ares and do nowt!26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Had a good week of NSDs this week and haven't had to top up groceries at all until today. As I am now a fledgling fly lady the lving area of the house is also looking much better and I'm feeling inspired by the progress I'm making with relatively little effort.
On the down side I have rather neglected the studying this week (again). Hope to get a good chunk done over the next couple days but taking tonight off so there:p
Just another week to go and we're off on holiday so next week wil revolve around making sure holiday clothes are wearable (and fit:eek: ) and that the flat is nice to come back to. If I come back to a midden I just feel immediately drained and might as well not have bothered going away!
Anyway, things are on track. Hoping to take a bike run by the allotments and drop in an application so I'll soon be lurking on the greenfingered threads too!26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Hi,
Can I ask you 2 questions
As you've recently gotten a new bike can I ask which one you got? I'm looking for a new one and getting confused... could do with some pointers!!

I got a Scott hybrid bike. Basically its in between a commute buke and a mountain bike. YOu really need to think about what you'll be using the bike for. Mine'll mostly be used at weekends to go out and about on cycle trails and the road for 'fun' () but Hubbles has a road bike as he's planning on putting in the miles to keep fit (I prefer running for that). We went into a proper cycle shop (NOT Halfords - too many horror stories about wrong parts and not building properly) told them what we intended to do and what budget we had. They gave us a range of examples and we picked from there.
Fly Lady started in America and it basically tries to help you tackle housework by breaking it down into manageable chunks on a daily basis rather than sporadic super human efforts. There's a weekly flylady challenge over on the old style board. Read the first post to get an idea of what its about. I'm not kidding when I say I can see a difference after just a couple of days of trying it out...;)26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Thanks Lucifa...
I've been to Halfords and one of the ones I liked is from there. The other is a Claud Butler. I'll be cycling to work and out in the forest at week-ends. I've seen some hybrids and been told they're good for on the road. Now I'm even more confused!!
Will check out the fly lady thread - thanks xx"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

There's two types of hybrid essentially - one tends towards being a road bike, the other towards being a mountain bike. The tyres on them make it fairly obvious which is which. We went to Evans Cycles and they have a great website for doing a bit of research.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Thanks - will have a look later. There is so much choice out there!! The Claud Butler one I like isn't an obvious looking mountain bike. I've seen a lovely Marin one but it's £459

If you don't frequent the daily chat you won't have heard my news.
Today at 4.36pm (yes exactly) I realised my period is late by 10 days. After 45 agonising minutes I popped into Boots on route to the train and picked up a test kit (How much:eek: ?!), suffered an incredibly slow seeming commute, and finally managed to pee on my stick.
