    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Hello!

Not yet caught up with the threads over the last few days but send (((hugs))) to all who could use one.

First the good news - dd has been discharged from the hospital back into the drs care!:j Her MRI scan was normal (very interesting though- does that make me a geek?:o :rotfl: )
There is no "cure" for hemiplegic migraines, they are very severe but dd now knows what to avoid (coffee is one trigger) and has the meds if another attack happens. Gentle exercise and some physio would help her regain strength on her right hand side with luck.

The dreaded CFS has struck again, stress related I think as things are definately not right at work, dh has said he would support any decision i make as health is too important, so if they don't get it "sorted" quick after school will be down at least one member of staff this summer and possibly more.

We are off on our hols - 1 week in a riverside cottage - in 2 days time and I have a zillion jobs to do in the garden and have yet to pack! All that and more (w**k:rolleyes:) so I have to pace strictly. So I may not get back on here for a while, if I don't, take care everyone, don't eat too much lovely lemon drizzle cake (I can't talk though:o diet is definately on the rocks as i have been comfort eating) ) be good and a million ((((hugs)))) to PP, smoky, Mrs Mix, Candygirl, Hilstep, jayward, tattycath and dd's, Kyle and ds's and everyone else.

:bdaycake: Happy birthday to Suesysues ds!

Good luck with the run Shez - Imagine Colin Firth is just in front of you!;)

    Catz x

    Morning :hello:

The third load of washing is on, I've watered the garden, sorted some work stuff, been to the shop and now I'm waiting for the carpet fitter. He should be here at about 11.30am. I hope he brings his dog, he's lovely :D

I've put some new pics of my cards on my site but they're awful. They're all blurry and make the cards look rubbish  The camera is dying a slow death. I really need a decent flatbed scanner.

I'm still in shock at the season finale of CSI Vegas  I saw it coming from about halfway through the program but I still can't believe it

Hi Shez, I also got the camembert, 8 boxes, for £1 each. It was a bargain as there are 4 in the box. Went down well with the prawns (reduced) and asparagus (bogof) so looking forward to the same starter tonight.
Have just put 12 chicken thighs (£2.49) in the slow cooker and will scout around for ideas on what to make with them.
Lidle had 4 chicken pies for £1, not very OS but bought them as a lunch snack for DH, I'll take the top off the pie and add more ingredients as there is never enough filling in shop pies, still will work out at pence per lunch.
Am really enjoying being banned from doing DD's garden, arms are not so painful today as they were rested yesterday, hope you're all enjoying the day.

    Morning :hello:

((((Hugs)))) to those who need them.
r.mac - any exciting news? You can't keep us in suspense like this, especially when everybody basically already knows what you're on about :D
kyle - glad the ECG was OK
Aussie - hugs to your sis, I agree with what others have said, I think she'll make the right decision :) Hugs to your dad, candygirl, too.

I got back from Nelski's just after midnight - the train got in early and by rights I should have been home not long after half eleven, but the bus at my end took AAAAAAGES to turn up. As my shopping with Nels & Pandas66 ended up about £30 under budget, I was actually really really tempted to get a taxi :o But decided I would rather save it to go to somebody's leaving do tomorrow, and out for a pizza with my mum and some friends after a show we're going to on Saturday night.

Ah yes, did I mention that my mum is spending the night on Saturday? That's :j :j and   in equal measure as it will be lovely to see her, but it means my flat needs a serious blitz :o so that's what I am doing today.

I've got a bin bag out and have just been going round ruthlessly chucking stuff into it. I need to take a bunch of stuff out for recycling (mainly paper, card and plastic bottles) and need to do a big sort out of clothes for charity shop/chucking out. The stuff I have bought in the last couple of days means I can finally get rid of loads of things that are on their last legs.

Going to my ballet class later :) Plus I've got a load of lamb out of the freezer and will be doing a curry.

    Love Rzl xx

Hi everyone - well, the morning has just disappeared! I was deep in food prepping and cake baking when DS2 phoned to say his car needed a bump start - he phoned at 9.30 and had to see the ENT consultant at 10 and our hospital is the most difficult place to get to at the best of times. Anyway, I drove over there - on fumes because I stopped at the petrol station on the way and the queue was so long, I gave up and carried on to DS2's house; after much shunting of my car to get it close enough to attach the jump leads, we finally got his started and off he went. I then had to stop again at the filling station because I had to fill up, yet another queue, and finally got back home. Anyway, I had just put a cake in the oven when DS2 phoned so I had no choice but to take it out and put it back in again when I got back. We now have a cake a bit like a flattened pyramid! That will be fun to ice!

DS2 has just popped in after his hospital appointment to say all is well but it took him 10 minutes to find a parking space there - it's getting ridiculous in these places, isn't it? My Mum phoned while he was here so they've just had a long chat and he has just left. Meanwhile, while I was out, DH popped back in, saw the kitchen in a state - half-cooked cakes and chopped veggies all over the place, so he started worrying that something terrible had happened because I never leave the house like that. He tried to phone me on my mobile but, of course, I'd left it in the car while I was showing DS2 where the battery in his car (which used to be mine!) was cunningly hidden; by the time I'd phoned DH he was thinking about sending out a search party! Anyway, I am now back home, DS2 has gone back to work, DH has gone back to work, my Mum has just rung off, I've cleared the kitchen and I'm now back where I want to be - on here, moaning about it all!

Thanks for all your good wishes re DH's MOT - the car failed but only on a missing wheel nut so that's easily put right and will not cost a lot, thank heavens - good luck to all with MOTs this week - they just add to the stress of life, don't they?

Anyway, TWINK, thanks for the update re PenPin.

BETH - don't do anything that will make your arms worse, girl! You should really just lounge around being fed grapes by someone handsome (I'd suggest Colin Firth but he's all mine!)

(((Hugs))) to everyone going through health problems - seems to be a lot on here at the moment. I'm not going to moan about how irritating my day has been so far - there are plenty
of people going through much more stress than me. I haven't really read the thread properly but will try and do that later.

Anyway, I'm going to sweep the kitchen floor and wash it and then have some lunch.

    See you all later.

Washing is out on the line and split pea soup is in the slow cooker.

Might do hobnobs for DDs as the banana muffins have all been scoffed.

Desperate to find out what happened in CSI now as I assumed Warwick had been framed and could prove it.

I can't beleive Michael is still in the Apprentice either.

Got Jersey potatoes yesterday so might have them for tea with baked salmon fillet or else as potato salad or omelette.

    Tattycath

Sounds like you are a member of the MSE Hypothyroid club. If you are you get free prescriptions which mght cheer you up. It takes a while for the thyroid levels to get in balance but it is worth persevering with it.

Hugs to Pennypincher, Smokey, Twink, Lyle, Jayward and anyone else who could do wih one.
