I wouldn't be surprised, I have just been talking to my sister and she said she has an underactive thyroid.

Morning all! Lovely and sunny this morning here! Hope you are all well :)

Went home early last night as one of the guys has decided to commander my workstation and use it to back up the 2 terabytes of junk my group has stored. Not impressed as it's still running this morning and whilst I can surf the net I can't do anything else  Ah well... back in the lab for me today then instead.

I baked last night too, I got home fairly early then made key lime pie, started the softening process for a massive batch of lime pickle (very OS, even used the rinds from the ones I'd squeezed too) and juiced a few to have with gin and tonic :D ... Still not sure what I'm going to do with the other 50 :rotfl: :rotfl: . I think I'll pick up some more sugar tonight and preserve some of the peel in syrup. I found a recipe on Delia online for a lime fridge slice, so I might try that too. Still, we're not going to get scurvy any time soon.

We had savory impossible pie for tea last night with green veg. Also roasted the chicken I'd forgotten about, stripped the carcass and put stock on to slow cook today. Chicken fajhitas for tea.

Hmmm.... *wonders if this will work with limes....* :D

    morning all

didnt have a chance to put the puter on yesterday, i cut the hedges and gave the garden a tidy. Then i made 3 weetabix cakes and did some knitting while the apprentice was on, was shocked by Raff getting the boot, i thought Alan would use the chance to get rid of the other guy as he only stayed by the skin of his teeth last week.

hugs to all those in want/need of one
congratulations to all those with good news

the posting mentioning the lemon drizzle cake have reminded me how scrummy that was, i must get another one of those made.

Hope everyone has something nice in their day

Am back from taking my neighbours dog to the vet (she came out £68 lighter!) now about to go and hoover the car of dogs hairs and cake crumbs from the kids! and put the kettle on!

Good morning, or it will be when that little man in my head stops hammering:rolleyes: OK I drowned my sorrows a little too much last night:o I hate penalty shoot outs:mad: A poor way to win, even poorer way to lose. Why not just share the trophy if 120 minutes of football can't decide.

Aussie, hugs to you and DSis. She'll have the op I'm sure. She's just frightened and needs time to get used to the idea. It was so cruel the way it played out, she must feel knocked sideways.

AnnieBL, what lovely friends your DD has. She must be very popular for them to do that. Enjoy your day off, a nice little bonus:D

candygirl, I don't want to offend or speak out of turn, but if denial is your Dad's way of coping, is that really so bad? The outcome isn't going to change whether he acknowledges it or not ( which I'm sure inside he has). Coping with cancer is such an individual thing (been there twice;) Beat the grim reaper against the odds:D ) it is about getting through the awful blackness whichever way you can. (((((hugs)))) to you all.

tattycath, good luck with the test results. Thyroid troubles respond very well to medication, although it is a bit hit and miss to start with.

My head is still really thumping, which I know I deserve, but my typing is beginning to annoy me ( I just thought of stefejb's DD complaining of loud typing during Dr Who:rotfl: ) so I'll say goodbye.

edited to add, have a lovely time PenPen and the Gingham Ribbons. Hope the chicks survive the petting:D

    Morning all,

Quick one from me, am at work and pretending to be busy.

Hugs to all those in need, those who are poorly and in need. Special mentions to PenPin, Smokey, Jayward, Kyle & Tattycath. Hugs to those with poorly relatives too.

It's my DS birthday today! I can't believe he is 9 already, where has the time gone? Off to McD for dinner tonight, not very OS but that's what he wants, although I did make his birthday cake myself, asked him if he wanted a shop brought or homemade and he asked for homemade!! :D

Anyway best go (need a :coffee: )

Hope everyone's day has something good in it.

    Suesy Sue xxxxxx
