Morning all
Hugs to everyone as you all seem to need it. Sorry haven't read the last 2 pages of the thread, had a massive bonfire last night, so consequently I stink of smoke this morning.
TattyCath sounds like you might have an underactive thyroid, if so you'll feel much better once you're on meds. I used to be the same.
Plan today to go to the tip again (hence the smokey clothes) and then the allotment. Planted all my chilli plants yesterday, hope they survive the slugs. Then I shall come home and dye my hair. Was supposed to be having it cut today, but my hairdresser has burnt her hand. Need to have another bonfire later aswe still have loads of dry stuff to get rid of. Refuse to pay out for a wheelie bin and a collection service, when the council has collected all our garden rubbish for free over the past 5 years. What I want to know is what have they done with the money they used to spend on it!
Tea will be something done with mince in the SC.
Have a good day all

Morning
((( Hugs ))) to Penpin and to Churchie, I don't really like football, but am just glad there was no trouble. Makes a change
Lots to do today, need to go to the bank, take some trousers back to Matalan, and nip into Home Bargains - they have some Turning Leaf Chardonnay for £3.49 a bottle, it's usually £6.99
Not sure what's for dinner, so will have a rummage in the freezer later.
Lots to list on Fleabay, so that's the whole day taken care of.
Have a good one everyone xxYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all,
Up *very* early and no idea why as I feel shattered. Thought that I may as well start the Bounty Balls that I'm making for DD to take into school tomorrow - only to find that I have almost no dessicated coconut. So, I'm waiting for Morrisons to open (it's less than a mile away from my home) at 8 and then I will make them and chill them before I go to w**k. That means they will be ready for DD to coat in chocolate when we come home this pm.
Off to cinema today with XDH, DS and DD to see Indiana Jones tonight. :j I know it's had mixed reviews but I don't care, I luuuurve Harrison Ford.
DD went to a friend's after school yesterday and I picked her up at 8 last night. She was so hyper when I picked her up as it turned out that all her friends had secretly arranged a surprise birthday party for her! They are a lovely bunch of girls and I couldn't be happier for her as she knew no-one when she started high school last September.
My plans for visiting my family in Scotland keep changing as DS and DD keep making arrangements with friends. I was hoping to go up tomorrow after school but that's out now as DS is going to cinema with his friends on Saturday so we won't be going up until Saturday night at the earliest now. Oh well, it could be worse - they could have no friends at all.
Need to look in the freezer for something for dinner tonight. Lunch is chicken salad on a wholemeal roll with some fruit salad after.
Finished the painting in the bathroom yesterday - looks so much fresher.
(((hugs))) to everyone who needs one - smoky, pen-pin, candygirl's DDad, anniestar, etc.
Have a thrilling Thursday. xx
Forgot to say that I filled in a survey for Lakeland at the weekend and posted it Monday. In the survey they asked if I had ever bought something that faulty and not complained. I mentioned that I had bought a kitchen timer that wasn't 100% right but as it still did the job I didn't complain. They have refunded the cost of it to my credit card today!! I'm very impressed - though I think Lakeland are fabulous anyway, if a little pricey."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Only 2 more days, only 2 more days, only 2 more days, I can get through this, honest I can, lol, though I may be a screaming loony by Saturday night.
I don't know where Katy went yesterday but she went AWOL for part of the day & had to phone in & say she wouldn't get back in time for afternoon lessons. So far she has not applied to return, but that means nothing, she only placed her stationery order at 7:30 last night.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone
Foggy here:eek:
Cats up at 4.15am this morning, something is going to have to be done, maybe a night in the garage will help them!!
Found some mince inthe freezer, so I think chilli and / or rice / pasta tonight.
Washing in machine, might put it out at lunchtime if the fog has gone.

Morning all. I'm a bit late on here today; DH has just left to take his car in for the MOT - he managed to get the first appointment of the day. Fingers crossed - we could do without the extra expense of getting it through if it fails. REDRUBY - I can't believe your four-year old car failed on the welding! That must have been quite a shock, especially financially.
(((Hugs))) to SMOKY, PENPIN, MRS MIX, TATTYCATH (sounds like under-active thyroid, as has already been said, but the right meds will sort it out); DONNY - hope your sinusitis is on its way out?
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello: I wanted Chelsea to win simply because it's the team my DGS supports, but I think penalties are a horrid and unfair way to decide any game.
I haven't had time to read the thread properly or catch up on the rest of yesterday's but, once I've got through all the chores, I'll catch up.
I've cleaned the whole house over the last two days so why do I feel as if I have a load more chores? A lot of it is kitchen stuff - I need to make cakes because we really seem to get through them, I need to prep the veg for tonight's Savoury Impossible Pie, make a salad for DGS who is coming round for dinner tonight (he likes the same thing every week - chips, cold ham and salad, and, because I'm his Nanny, he gets what he wants because I am allowed to spoil him!) Then the rest of the family will be coming round to collect him because they are off to Iceland tomorrow (the country, not the supermarket!) for a wedding, so I won't see them for a week, plus DS1 is bringing round his seedlings for me to keep an eye on! I shall water his garden if we have a heatwave, which doesn't look likely! He said not to bother if the weather is cool but I will still go round and make sure - he loves his garden and works very hard on it, so I would hate him to come home and find he has lost anything.
Well, I'd better go and get a wiggle on.
I hope everyone has a good day and will catch up with you all later.

Unexpected day off. Boss has just phoned to say that I don't need to go in today as he is out of the office all day and hasn't prepared enough work for me. I can make the day up another time. So, no rush to get to Morrisons and I can go back to bed for a kip!"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Just a quick one as I am running out of the door, Kathy, hope the MOT goes well, fingers crossed it goes straight through, it was a shock with my car, although the work is not being done till next Wed, so will pay for it then :rolleyes:0
