Yawn.
BEEN TO THOSE BOOKSHOPS YET, PHIL???!!!
I got a job managing a team of 18 with no prior management experience.
So it can be done.
However, you have negativity seeping out of every pore - so no, people won't subject other (innocent) people to that/you.0 -

Natural internal progression is far too slow for me... if I don't get promoted within a year, I'm off.
In the last 3 years and 7 months, I've got from £16k to £32k in Marketing. It can be done - you just have to talk the right language.Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
I got myself a job and then when I looked for another one I was told that even for an internal vacancy just one level up that my experience is not suitable. So as far as I can see experience is pointless when your own place says your experience is worthless.:beer:0

Sorry to go back to my local recycling area but I am

Its a new one, the kind where you drive round and stop at which ever skip you want and pop your stuff in. Now the people who work there are busy planting round the edges with plants and flowers, they have rescued any plant pots and potted them up and dotted them about the place along with the odd garden sculpture.
Round their toilet block and staff room area they have done the same and are constantly sweeping up after people drop rubbish while putting it in the skips, talk about taking a real pride in their work and work place.
I'm not sure what skills studentphil would say they are learning but I'd certainly say they all have people skills, a pride in what they do and they are happy in their job... worth a whole lot more to most people than £25,000 a year.0 -

Either that, or they didn't want to say 'we don't like you, Phil'.
We know you haven't learned ANYTHING in the last year. What makes you think they don't??0 -

Sadly they say it to everyone my grade not just me. You don't have the right customer experience or cash skills to promoted. What sort of job is there where it is completely closed to moved forward?:beer:0
