Key to a good job.

What is the key to a good job? Is it lots of qualifications or working your way up through experience?

On the one hand it can't be qualifications as not everyone has great qualifications.

However, it doesn't seem to be working your way up as in most jobs there is no progression.

What is a good job though?
IMO my new job is a 'good job' ok so it's only £7/8 ph and it's working in an old grannies home, but I have the oppurtunity to progress, and gain me NVQ level 3, which means I can apply for a seniors role and also go to uni if i wanted to.
And the most important thing, is I love working with me oldies, I love the non financial rewards it brings, and I love to think that I'm making a difference to someones life.

*passes everyone the sick bucket* :D

Not everyone has a good job, either.

Are you asking how to get a good job, or what makes a job good?

I think the answer to both is in knowing exactly what you want to do, as the key to getting a job and progressing in it is different in each industry.

A good job is one that makes you happy.

The key to it: find what you are good at and develop that skill.
Then work hard at meeting the objectives.

Being a librarian is a good job, provided you like books and people.

I would say a good job is one that pays at least 25 000 pounds per year.
