Yeah, they calmed down before he went to work.... which means he knows I was right :D

Not contraversial at all, probably a quandery that a lot of people have... If I were in your situation, I would take what you can get - even if you end up putting some to one side for a rainy day. There are loads of people near me who get benefits without ever having done a days work.... you take what you're entitled to hun, everyone else does!

I can totally see your point, I would probably feel the same..... but from a Sneaky McSneak point of view..... how many people do you actually have to tell? I think do whatever makes you happiest.... as long as your 'big ones' like WTC/CTC are right, you're getting your CB and any HB you're entitled too, any extra you can claim is a bonus.... and its not like you're sat on your !!!! all day, or popping out babies twice a week!
You shouldn't have to feel like a 'burden' to the state... It annoys me when hard working people have to worry about money, yet those that can't be arsed dont - Look at IA, she's got about 5 jobs (I kinda lost count :) ) and yet her and Ste have to muddle on by, where as at work today, I saw a young girl who couldn't have been a day over 17, pushing a small toddler in a brand new buggy, with another one on the way...

I'm gonna shut up now cuz I'm going on.... my point is, claim as much or as little as you are comfortable with, but it wouldn't hurt to know exactly what you are entitled to 'just in case'

Hi Bunny, just popped in and totally agree with what Sarah said - you're entitled so just take it and you don't have to go about telling folks!

    Thank you Sarah (and Skint)
I feel a bit guilty tbh.

I remember my Mom surviving on mustard sandwiches when I was little to feed me...

AndI am much happier on the whole now-sadly, I have yet to miss XOH at all-I feel sad that I dont feel sad if that makes sense? I do miss the kids terribly when they arent here, it seems strange I can't just go up and sneak a kiss and watch them when they sleep. They are both so beautiful...

I don't remember ever really missing exOH but I do remember finding it difficult at first as when you went out at weekends it seemed to be all mums with dads and kids. to be honest I think it was just me being over sensitive at the time! it does get easier but I still find it a bit quiet sometimes when DS is away.
