give your council a tinkle and as for the CT benefits section. They'll have a form you can fill in.

For housing benefit and council tax, go to your local council offer, might be worth a try asking for some of it to be back dated, I know when my dad retired he took a yr early, and lived off a lump sum from his pension, then pd normal council tax, then we asked and they were entitled to a discount, our council even back dated it so we had 6 mths worth of discount back,

It would be so simple if it was all in one system, but its a bit here, a bit there.

have you applied for help with health costs form, you can pick up the lik from dhss / direct gov website, unless ur on free dental treatment etc, thsi form helps out and you only have to pay a maximum per session of treatment,. x
    Good luck xx

Bunny does your Council have a website? Most of them do and have a benefits calculator attached. When I claimed HB & CTB I went onto my local council website and you could put all your details in and it would calculate it. You should definately get a good amount of HB maybe not so much CTB.

    Hi Bunny,
I would just like to say that I would advise you to apply for everything you can!! These benefits are there to help you!
Sometime you do seem better off than if you stayed with XOH not only money wise but the most importantly mentally!! You seem to be doing so well just remember to take it one day at a time and if you fall or get it wrong it doesn't matter as there is always the next day to get it right again...... As for the dating I would give it a little time there is no need to rush in to anything.. Any man would be very lucky to get a date with you.................. mind you, you may need to kiss a couple of toads to find the prince!! but I am sure your'll have fun trying he-he

    Hi Bunny

Quickie to say sorry we missed each other on phone last week. Hopefully we'll get to chat end of this week.

In the mean time...stay strong sister. You're doing really well...and you're a really great person. Give it time...It's taken me 9 months, a rather expensive holiday and some pretty horrendous suffering in the gym to get my head together..... and my first offer is lunch from my 80 year old neighbour earlier this evening!! (But he's such a dear!)

Big big hugs to you and hope you're OK.

    Love

    Hiya Bun, hope ur ok?

OH and I had a big bust up about money (again!) earlier after I got busted for dropping his CC limit (illegally according to the guy at Egg, who told OH he should call the police on me :D )..... anyway, OH accused me of only wanting him for his salary.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: was my reply, as I pointed out the double saving of a) getting more money from the state, as a full time working single mum and b) he wouldn't be around to waste so much on rubbish/having a good time. He said 'Oh, looks like you've done your homework!' then shut up after that!

Apply for as much as you can, you never know what you might get!x

    Well Sar,
I have had a query tonight on whether or not we depend too much on them or get too much?

    Contraversial?

Anyway, hope things are ok with OH. Money cause huge rifts with me and XO...
