The estate agent I am using to sell the house quoted me £100 for an EPC + VAT of course:o so £117.50

Just ordered one online for £55 from epc4less, asked for survey to be done on Monday, I'll let you know how that goes;)

    Hello
can you tell me do you need one of these if you are renting privately...say in the telegraph ...not through an agent . Is it a legal requirement ?

    Yes & yes.
Its a European requirement & cannot be repealed by new govt  unlike the HIP.

My daughter has been looking at properties to rent and when she asked for the epc some of the estate agents [yes agents.. plural] weren't aware that there should be an epc for the property. I would have thought they should advise their clients of this fact. The last enquiry that made about a rental property and the epc was answered with the question ' would you be willing to pay £50 more rent per month? ' Is this the owners way of finding the money to pay for an epc?

    So far a definate NO:eek:

Still waiting on mine despite numerous phone calls to them, just never seem to catch the right person at the right time when I phone them :roley eyes:

I ordered online and payed directly by Paypal, they will be getting a charge back very soon if they don't get the finger out:o

So EPC4LESS, at present, I think not:(

Hello, can anyone recommend an organisation who can provide the EPC in the Belfast area? Any guides on prices charged would be much appreciated as would tips/advice on work to be carried out in advance of getting the EPC. Many thanks

I used EPC for less if you goggle them, they are Belfast based I think but did mine in the North West of Our Wee Country for 55 squids I think.

Can't say I recommend them thou as i had to chase and chase to get the EPC emailed to me:o

Ask your (or any) estate agent but don't pay more than about £60 for one as there is a lot of people who can do these and some can charge in excess of £100:eek:
