I dont match bet but i do enjoy free bets, neither here or rpoints is my number 1 source of info but it should be open to all. If you come across a deal you fear might get pulled do it and dont post itWell I Love Tv And I Love T. Rex, I Can See Through Your Skirt I've Got X-Ray Spex0

I was going to say no as it makes the forum harder to find for people who do not know about matched betting.
But maybe if all the stickies at the top were kept open so people could read all about matched betting and how to do it, and see all the questions (and post if they want to) in the newbie thread it would work.
I think this is a great suggestion.
Asking people to hide the names of the bookies or write them in a different way
(eg. Lad.bro.kes) will not work as there will be the odd poster to not do it which
will show it up on the search engine.
Whether or not it is going to happen - some ppl have said it isn't but it is interesting to find out people's opinions on itProfit from Matched Betting = £13,655

It would hardly reflect well upon Martin Lewis if part of his forum were made private because the users felt that they had something worth hiding.
The board has been here for years and the offers have not declined as Cornerclose's thread showed (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=770729) -perhaps they have from the very early days but certainly not in the last few years that I've been matched betting.
There has not been a flood of palped bets when arbs have been posted here nor have there been bookies welching on offers posted here, with the one notable exception of Bluesquare where noone actually posted that they'd lost money.
I'm not sure what the benefit is of hiding the forum, other than self interest, hoping that the less people that latch onto the concept the longer we can get away with it.0 -
I can see the benefits of making it private but, ultimately, if it was private, I wouldn't have found it. Who am I to deprive others of the same opportunity?Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

It's a bad idea and it's not gonna happen. Not gonna say any more on the subject, said what i had to say in the cyberslotz thread
I agree
The forum doesn't need to be made private as its existance doesn't currently put the future of match betting at risk.
Right, I'm not going to say any more on the subject either.0 -
