I think you'll find it's the riders that are the danger and hazard, not the machines.

Their attitude that they can go anywhere/do anything, it's just a moped, can't do harm, rules are for other people.

If I were to go back and get another moped I'd be well aware of the Highway Code, the law and other road users and wouldn't have a cavalier attitude to my importance on the road, nor would I deem that I could "just go along here" or "just pop through those red lights".

I'd drive it like I drive a car. Many people get a "pushbike" mentality on them and are only aware of where they're headed.

Just to add that some of us that ride "pushbikes" do ride them properly too, I obey the rules of the road on a bike just like I do in a car.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

    hi,

i am considering getting a small engined motorbike as the cost of fuel is just silly. my current car is getting only 30mpg and i'm coughing up over £200 per month just for petrol.

i passed my test way-back-when so according to this i need to apply to have class A added to my license. looking at the dlva website this should be free (add entitilement to licence), is that right?

i have read about some bikes getting over 100 mpg, that would mean i would save well over £100 from my commute.

i have a 20 mile trip each way to work on edinburgh city bypass, would a 125cc be suitable for that? i would intend on getting a 250 or 400 after passing test.

A 125 (capable of 60-70mph) would be more than suitable for the A720

Don't forget the test is changing in October so it'd be a good idea to get it done before then
