Moped Riding on Licence?

its purely to get me to A to B quickly, work in city centre which is 10m journey but takes 45m in the traffic in a car, as long as im on the move on a moped however fast will do me, saves having to sit in traffic or wait for nevercoming buses!! I will be buying one of these new chinese import bikes off ebay, really cheap, and will do the job just over the summer months. Anyone got any tips on these chinese imports, im cool with the registering etc.0

When I am in my car I dont like mopeds, but to get to and from work they are great. Cut right through traffic. Its much easier and much quicker.
But do get some good waterproof trousers and jacket!JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
Also I would do a CBT on a geared bike if you are going to do a CBT. I didn't and think it would have been better. I am wanting to get a 125 bike with gears but I have never used a bike with gears.
But I dont have any money to buy a bike so that wil have to waitJeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
No hasnt got gears, just twist and go!!0

I was just saying it would be better to do a geared CBT if you do one. then if you ever get another bike that is geared at least you will have some experiance of riding a geared bikeJeremyMarried 9th May 20090

Do the CBT its not hard and it'll help for when you eventaully get a bike (here talks the voice of experience lol)
And as for the twist n go's that you can buy, theyre a danger and hazard to other road/bike users.....0 -

Get a couple of insurance quotes, 1 for a non-import and 1 for an import. I *think* imports are slightly more expensive to insure.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

yeah i agree....but beats sitting in traffic getting home from work. A 10m ride takes 45 in car/bus.....so who cares if others dont like lol0 -
Hi dreemgirl, I'll move this to the Motoring Board
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -

As a biker who rode a twist n go for 20,000 miles over 18 months, would you care to explain that statement?
OP - You should take a CBT course as it will help you control the bike and make you a safer rider.0
