Just to let you know.. I didn't get mine, got a letter back today saying they've investigated my account and they would need a letter of discharge.
They did say to visit one of their halifax high street branches as they will be able to advise a suitable account for me!?! .. bit confused at that as got the impression halifax were very BR unfriendly? .. bit confused at that as got the impression halifax were very BR unfriendly?
Was a bit annoyed as asked them to return my stamped BR petition, which they haven't (may turn up separately though), luckily I sent them a copy!
Don't think i'll bother with them anyway as looks like my lloyds one is ok!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0

they couldnt organise a P*** up in a brewery
Halifax were not one of the BR freindly banks as i'm aware...although some members held accounts both BR & discharge without probs....it goes back to what diablo said I think it all goes on the time of the month if its a full moon and what your starsign is before they look at you!! hopefully this will change though as new procedures are being put in place....although god knows what that will do! Totally agree ... bit of a lottery out there.. didn't Brooksi get a nationwide savings account? (might have been a different bank, not sure) ... bit of a lottery out there.. didn't Brooksi get a nationwide savings account? (might have been a different bank, not sure)
Get told on the phone it'll be fine and send in my original BR form, then get a refusal by letter without returning my form. Just relieved I took a full "colour" copy so it looked like the original and sent that instead, else i'd be a weee bit annoyed !:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0

However, I'm so glad that philnicandamy got his apology bonus, shows that perseverance works.0
