*goes to look up the definition of sane in the dictionary*
sane // /seɪn/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[seyn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective, san·er, san·est.
1.free from mental derangement (well my brain is in the right place.. kind of); having a sound, healthy mind (of course it is.. it is like new.. mint in the box.. never been opened!): a sane person.. e.g Pigpen (see I'm in the dictionary!)
2.having or showing reason (there is always a reason NEVER an excuse!), sound judgment (I hear thunder), or good sense (feels like a squishy bun): sane advice. (f**k that!)
3.sound; healthy (I make the same sound as a fresh ripe melon when you tap me).

Thank you!! For not making me think I was losing the plot when I thought that!! We tried getting him to pee on one of those sticks.. you know the ones they dip in urine when you are pregnant to check for protein et al.. and he was completely OTT FREAKED by the whole idea.. so I am leaving it to the GP tomorrow.. They have a choice.. 1) an early appointment 2) a late appointment or 3) an emergency appointment.. or home visit.. depending on just how evil I am feeling!! The thing with my lot is they eat small amounts and very often so if he is feeling a bit wappy he goes and eats something so he won't have experienced the low blood sugar thing.. What will I feed everyone and how will we deal with this.. ??? How will he react??...
Todays positive.. my debt total is now.. *drum roll*

Well done on your really big positive - thats a heck of an achievement.
The ketones on the breath come from HIGH blood sugar and usually build up over a long period of time, LOW blood sugar is usually a quicker reaction and the person will usually start to become confused then sometimes combative before going unconscious if not treated.
You do have a lot to cope with, so I hope you sleep good and I know you will cope well with whatever the doctor throws at you tomorrow. I know you will, because you are a fantastic mum and a fantastic person who always finds strength to support us, so will find that super strength for your dear child. If I can help in any way let me know. :grouphug: xxxxxMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Looks like a lot has been going on.. I am still having internet connection problems

Morning all
Will be thinking of you and yours today pigpen and keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome.
I can't believe it's Thurs already, where is the time flying to??? Can I have some strength vibes to get me through this next couple of days please. It would have been our tenth anniversary tomorrow and I so don't want to be going to work. Was sat here last night thinking '2 yrs ago we were at the NEC Quoing' It was a great night and the last pics of DH were taken there so very bittersweet looking at those now.
Better go, got the hordes to sort, all 2 of them :rotfl: have a good day all. Will read but catch up properly at the weekend.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Manic couple of days so have only skim read the thread, but hope all is well for everyone though I gather Pigpen has a lot on her plate at the moment --- hope all is well for you and that the doctors appointment for your son goes well...prayers for your sister too!
Dusty thanks for asking about DD2 exams - her geography went well we think and she did eng lit yesterday which she said wasn't too bad...seems a bit reluctant to discuss or think about either but think this is down to a crisis in confidence rather than any knowledge that she didn't do well IYSWIM.
No flying yesterday as work all morning, my one and only friend (Johnny no-mates me) visited for the afternoon and then had to feed everyone quick as had a l--o-n-g ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ:rolleyes: committee meeting last night.

Bedroom a tip of eBay Warehouse proportions, want to tackle today but am starting to feel overwhelmed with the extent of the rest of the stuff that needs doing before we go on holiday on Saturday afternoon. At least if I run around doing everything quickly I can knock several things off my list right away! I have a plan for putting some stuff in the empty top cupboard in my bathroom but it mustn't be longterm as it probably gets a little damp in there. Could shove the bin bags full of my mum's handbags in there maybe, and some of my own [strike]garbage[/strike] items!
I am just about on top of the laundry! There is a small pile of stuff to quickly get done as and when. I had wanted to have all clothes washed and put away before I pack so I have the pick of the lot and also so that I don't come home to a house full of hanging laundry like I usually do when we go away!
