erm......... *has no idea what you are talking about now!!*

I keep forgetting you dont have a telly! OK, the Duchess of York goes to Hull to advise a family of 6 on how to eat healthily on a budget on £80 per week (in one of the most deprived estates in the area, the programme's words, not mine). Last night was mostly the Duchess 'fact finding.' Tonight is when they start to change their diet. I thought she came over very well and despite the fact she has never been in a supermarket (!!!!!!???), I think tonight will be interesting. And it wasnt all about money. Grandad would give them veggies from his allotment, but they just didnt like veg, so didnt eat any. I reckon she'll get them to cut down/stop smoking and use the extra money to supplement the food budget.

My only critism would be, while the Duchess is very experienced with eating/weight loss, I'm not sure how qualified she is on how to deal with a small budget. I think Sammy Kaye (or another OS-er) should be given a show instead :D

Lol, did she not rack up massive debts while married to Andrew?

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I forgot about that! Or wasnt it after they split? Thats why she went to America? Oh well, maybe she is. If you've payed debts of £1, £2 million then who better???? lol

ETA - according to wiki, she reportedly paid off £4 million between 1996 and 1998

:o What channel is that programme on?? Sounds worth a watch. Cannot believe she has NEVER been in a supermarket. She was just a "normal" person with a job before she got married. Not like she was born royalty - cannot imagine the Queen down Tesco looking at the No Frills stuff:rotfl: .

DD1 deposited at school. DD2 started crying when it was time to go into Nursery and said she had a tummy ache. She didnt complain of one at home but she woke up in a really cuddly mood and does look pale, went into office and playschool manage said she looked pale so now have DD2 lying on the couch watchin Barney demanding a Hot Chocolate:rolleyes: . Means my plans for shampooing the carpet have gone out of the window as would need to move all the furniture around - never mind.

Gonna have a drink and then must get on with stuff.........really I must..........mustnt I

Its on ITV1 at 9pm and was on last night as well.

Well, she probably went to Waitrose before she was married, but now she has loads of servants/assistants etc. I guess they do the shopping. Or maybe she has a housekeeper/cook? What she maybe meant was she hadnt been in a supermarket like that one. I didnt recognise the supermarket. It wasnt Lidls or Aldis. It may have been Netto or an English one I'm not familiar with ;) I thinks its worth a watch. will try to find a link for last night.
