As far as I can remember I'm sure someone quoted on here that the Flybe isn't actually a sub prime card, however it does lend to high risk borrowers but the APR isn't as high as Cap 1 and vanquis. ;)
 Debts: Capitalone £0, Vanquis £220, LX Direct £1197, Mutual £1107, JD Williams £23

    basically, turned 18 last april

elec register in August (bt my euifax says 1 year?)

so basically had credit since August, 2 are in arrears (through no fault of my own i was in a mental hospital how could i pay, ill have to ring and explain when i pay)

    then rest are OK

got a vanquis in December and just got my first statement and made my payment, got knocked back by aqua, halifax classic, momument etc, even tried flybe in November and got knocked back, capital one also

got knocked back by halifax for a current (even though i have a natwest advantage gold? and rbs high interest), had a A&L account since 06 but they closed due to no activity (again not my fault, i had to re-apply so im waiting)

have 2 ulster bank cards i gt in October, which 1 of them in in arreas, but i've already paid that off, the other one is good i didnt use it much.

    what are my options?

i just want to build my credit rating, got 3 cards so far, 2 are in good shape, the other im sorting out today

    thanks

It may be your age mixed in with the amount of searches. I would leave the apply button alone for 6 months.
  • sweet that would work pretty well for me either way

which should b the first i go for? coz by then i would have had the vanquis for around 7 months

If you re-apply for Aqua in 6 months and make sure there is no other payment problems i would be surprised if you don't get one.
Your Vanquis should of had at least one limit increase by then. Was your starting limit £500 if i remember. HTH
Do you have a catalogue they seem to be good credit builders!

Jacamo have this morning bumped up my limit to £1200
  • Good Afternoon ladies and gents! I’m confused.! I just got declined by Grattan catalogue with no reason given other than ‘your credit score is too low’.! I read on here that Grattan check Equifax but in my case they checked Experian.! On that same day I also applied for Next Directory – they checked Equifax and gave me a £300 limit.! I thought Grattan were easy to get so I’m a bit concerned they declined me.!I’ve got no negative history on my CRA files but very limited history due to returning from living abroad.! My Experian has about 12 searches in the past 6 months.! It has green zeroes for all my accounts and the accounts listed on the report are 3 current accounts, one credit card, one small loan (£1000).! Equifax is more or less the same except it has 9 searches and also lists my mobile phone account.! I am on the Electoral Roll.! I make around £50k a year and I am in my late 30s.!Also I’ve got an account with Studio catalogue. They have given me a £100 limit.! Will this limit get raised as time goes on?! Also do Next limits go up?! And how do I get the Next store card?

Hi and welcome! I have read somewhere that Grattan might be in a bit of a pickle...hence. Next limit's go up after a few payments but can go down. After a while they offer the store card (about 6 months). My wife has an account with the card and her limits vary from 2500 to 3500:eek: ...oh and she likes next:eek:
