Me pa and sister are both Monkey Hangers....I lived near Hartlepool when I was little, and my dad and gran always used to sing it to me.
We did change it though. It was always a competition to sing 'road' for as long as you could lol. You'd hear us pottering about the house singing 'gannin' along the scotswood *breath* roooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooad......to see the Blaydon Races'. Passing out was optional
