From what I’ve experienced now and in the past with credit card companies settling the balance or a large proportion seems to grab there attention.

My Vanquis card is used for all my day to day living expenses and have never paid any interest on the account and this has gone up in limit very quickly.

It may be a coincidence but my CapitalOne card limit went up shortly after I registered my Debit card online for making statement payments on the Cap1 website.
But then again maybe it was just my time.:D

thanks for all useful info i have just registered my debit card for online payments with cap1 see if that does the trick at the moment i am finding it hard to clear my cards in full each month due to getting in to the dreaded payday loan trap after being short one month after juggling things about abit ican hopefully clear the loans by september this year and can get back on track cant wait

I activated my Aqua card today, and I must say the lass on the end of the phone was very polite and courteous. Excellent service, and although she asked all the questions about insurance etc. I don't feel that she was pushy, just thorough in doing her job. She was quite happy to accept the answers I gave as to why I didn't need additional insurances:) All in all quite happy with that:)

hiya lou, welcome, i thought vanquis wouldve put your limit up after 3 months, maybe give them both a ring to find out if theyre going to higher it at all x

i have called vanquis but they just say they dont do limit increases on request i have had a total of 7months green zeros with them now and still no increase maybe i will call them again monday and see if they can help me out thanks for info

work was busy i cant wait for my cap one reply they have unrecorded searched me 3 times in 3 days i dont understand why but fingers crossed what do they search on a unrecorded mr p is there anything different to a recorded??

It just means that only you and the CRA can see the search, not other lenders.
