Evening all....
Q from hubs....
Has anyone got a Monument card. Have had his declining left, right and centre in the past week. He called their shockingly awful call centre who said no transactions had been attempted, he reeled off a list of 6 or 7 he'd tried and been declined for.
Limit is £400 and has a current balance of £68 (from earlier this month) and normally he pays the balance off in full.
Monument said there were no issues with their cards.
Just a busy week for retailing or Monument playing silly beggers?
Cheers

Hi DM,
Gosh, sounds a nightmare. There's not too many of us on here with Monument as they don't often have any new applications.
Prob he best person to ask is Proliant, who I'm sure will be along later0 -
i got flybe, tier c apr 24.9 and 3k limit, it appears they do it by the tier rate, i have noticed a pattern, tier c 24.9%=3k limit, tier b 19.9% limit 4k, tier a not sure of % but 5k limit. i have had no problems with them at all, not yet anyway, although my statement was sent to me on 16th dec not got it yet but that could be down to xmas post as i posted rec items on monday first class didnt arrive at destination till fri!!!self confessed 80's throwback:D

Hi All,
New to the forums but been taking advise from Martin for ages! Wonder if you can help?
I was refused by Vanquis last month :-( I have 1 default and 1 account with late payments> I was not on the electoral roll when I applied but should be now as of the 13th Dec.
Can anyone advise who I should applying with in the Sub Prime market?
Thanks in advance.0 -

I think vanquis is supposed to be one of the easiest ones to get but perhaps being on the electoral role will really improve your chances. Have you checked that it is actually recorded with the credit ref agencies that you are now on elec roll? If so, give capital one a try, aqua, or barclaycard initial. Good luck.Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!

May take a month or two before the register is updated.
Could also be better to wait a few months before more searches are made on his file with cra's - and he will also have been at address that bit longer.0
