£80 at the start and raised it to £130 the following month
Was that before your CIFAS or after?

No. I just ordered the goods, they were delivered and the note inside the parcel advised me when credit I had remaining.

On another note Halifax have increased my pre-approved overdraft limit from £0 to £100 and now £175 even though my limit at the minute is £500

Is that that pre-approved thing on Halifax aload of rubbish then as my Mum and dads is £100 and there overdraft is £100 but could they have more?

Did you have a Next account then and they reduced your limit right down to £0?

Your pre-approved limit is what you can have up to there and then - it is automatically applied to your current account with no searches. If you want higher than your pre-approved limit you have to apply and assessed.

Next did reduce my limit to £0 and sent me out a letter saying it was a "business decision" but may be reinstated in the future. Next is the most erratic for credit limits I have ever come across.

Was that recent after CIFAS, the reason i'm asking is because my Dad has a Next account and won't use them because they keep changing Credit Limits and he doesn't want to buy something then reduce his limit to £0 for some reaason.

They are. My limit started at £150 2 years ago and bounced between that and £950 until 3 months ago. It was never the same from month to month. 3 months ago they raised it to £1500, last month to £2000 and this month lowered it to £0.

    Go figure.
