I have far too many searches on both credit reports, but still got accepted for 2 Nationwide flex accounts with debit cards, and one with the overdraft.. Still can't quite believe it.. The letter that came with my first card said that too many searches may harm your chances.. I have over 30 in the past 3 months!

Now I have finally got what I wanted (an overdraft) I am in the process of closing down the old bank accounts that I no longer need as they wouldn't ever consider me for upgrades anyway.

This "credit crunch" has given me more than I have ever had, even before my time of defaults etc. It's weird.

Egg search equifax only.

i applied for an egg card on friday i think. still havent heard back from them. do i assume i have been declined? how long do they usually take? they said i should get a response back within a day but i havent heard anything?

i cant even get passed the initial app security page with egg to apply, i applied about 9 months ago and was declined online, it says if your circumstances have changed since apply again, every time i try i just get we cant process applications at the moment due to problems we are having!!

The only ones I know of, darcy, are the Creation/Sygma ones, and Barclaycard, which you have.

I can't get past the first screen on Egg either. It says I have applied before and my details are wrong. I did call them up the last time I tried, and the man on the phone also told me that the details I was telling him were wrong.

Not in my experience. When I applied a year or so back they searched both Experian and Equifax. When my old dear applied 9 months ago year they searched Experian only.

So looks like they search either or both.

Must be my mate applied the other week and he has a search on his equifax but not his experian.

I'm itching for an application too. Just counting the days till the bloody Electoral Roll updates. Then I'm gonna at least go for a catalogue.
