    hi everyone, can i join the club. Been going through the thread. Had 1 ccj and 1 default. i have a cap1 with a limit of £200 which i pay off full balance every month. My ccj is now satisfied and some searches have dropped off. What card could i apply for and how many.

    i would give mbna a go they accepted me with 2 satisfied defaults and a satisfied ccj there is also vanquis or aqua there is also monument but they dont seem to be taking new customers
    you cant change yesterday
    but you can make tomorrow better

    Hey Zeus, welcome to MSE and the Sub Prime Credit Card Club, which is going to be renamed shortly to "The Sub Prime Credit Market Thread" as we tend to cover everything from Credit Cards, Loans, Mortgages to Bank accounts etc.
    Well done on the Capital One Visa, if you are not naughty with the card they will raise your limit up to £500 on your 4th statement, I would try Vanquis, Aqua, MBNA(see darcy on here first) and Monument who are not taking any new customers just yet.

    Just a quick note guy's, I have changed the thread name to the "Sub Prime Credit Market Thread" and updated the front page with the MBNA Sub prime card.

    Got turned down for the MBNA card. Would have been nice to take advantage of the BT. The decline page just invited me to apply for the Vanquis card. I wonder if appealing it may help?

    thats strange as i was approved it said that i had to ring them i cant believe that i have been accepted even now 3 days after i was approved hope this card brings a few more people some luck be interesting to see what comes from the guys that have to ring tomorrow!

    Try it, give them a ring, I was kb for the Virgin card and rang up with a reference umber on my kb letter and the underwriter said when they have seen 6 months of my loan paid off they will give me a card, so I is gonna ring them in November this year so watch this space....:confused:
