    so depending on how good your rating is will depend on what Paltinum card you get given,
    could be anything from 8.5 - 16.9% variable.

    does anyone know if there sub prime card was ever Mastercard or has it allways been Visa??

    It was always a Mastercard until around 2005.

    They sometimes do a "Premium" mastercard which looks like the classic in everyway but it is one of those one-off's that they do.

    Yep, there are loads of reports of people applying for the 15 month Platinum card, but Capital One issuing a lesser card.
