I have a Capital One Platinum, is that a sub-prime one, too?

    No, I don't think so.

On the website there is a criteria for the "excellent" Credit Rating that Capital One requires for the Platinum Card.

It has a rather nice 0% on Balance Transfers and Purchases until November 2009

It appears they do 4 different Platinum cards all for people with "excellent" credit ratings and 1 Classic Visa that is probably geared more for the sub prime market :

Evening all, whats the word on the street? I think we should start another thread on the subject of mid-range credit cards, any suggestions?

No but if that is an option then that would help alot of folk to get back on the credit ladder, this day and age you need a good credit rating to get by.
