I have a Capital One Platinum, is that a sub-prime one, too?
No, I don't think so.
On the website there is a criteria for the "excellent" Credit Rating that Capital One requires for the Platinum Card.
It has a rather nice 0% on Balance Transfers and Purchases until November 2009 :beer:0 -

It appears they do 4 different Platinum cards all for people with "excellent" credit ratings and 1 Classic Visa that is probably geared more for the sub prime market :

Aqua keep upping my credit limt every few months. Started at £350 when I applied July last year, now at £950 credit limit. :rolleyes:0
