My question again - Are Sygma/Creation Sub Prime Lenders?
Do they always give initially only £250 credit limit to new customers?
Why do you have to phone in and request an increase?

I have one of these cards - same limit of only £250. I don't think these are aimed at subprime . I have no negative data on my CRA file.

Well, had a phone call from the Halifax today and it was an underwriter, he says he will open a high interest current account for me with an overdraft once I have faxed over some bank statements etc, all the usual VISA debit etc, it will be good to have a bank account that is not just internet based and who's customer service is better than A&L :-(.

Sygma Bank are a French bank that provide point of sale retail cards like JJB etc, they also take apps online, they use similar scoring criterion like GE money, I would not say that they are sub prime because they will decline you if you have adverse.

I have a JJB card also 24% apr - useless £250 limit also. Thought I would get a better limit , had the card four months now. Can't be bothered to mess about with low limit (well this low) so may as well get rid..so Mr P , have A+L upset you?
I'm with them , just transfering everything over to Natwest...

Well sort of, the fact that the branch will not deal with me because I hold an internet based account is stupid and their attitude stinks so I am off else where.

    Addendum:
They are being taken over by Satander, another freekin foreign takeover, "long live the bank of scotland", I will eat my own !!!!!! before I will put my money with a foreign bank, talking to the scousers at the Bootle call centre isn't that bad, but this is a point of principle and I want any revenue that I make for the bank to be from the UK, not France, Spain or ching chang chong land or where ever, anyway had my rant and now I fell much better. :D
