    Evening all,

    First post here!

I have a good credit rating but me and OH believe he doesn't and we want to try and get a mortgage together.

He is applying for an Equifax credit report (can't do experian as no credit card ) to see how the land lies but i am just curious as to why the lloyds basic bank account is on the first post?

He has this account, they sent him a visa card the other year, before that he only had a cash card.

    Hi

Just wonder if you can help, I have just got myself a JD Williams account with £125 limit and also applied for a Fashion World, also accepted with £125 limit but then once I logged out and logged in again the second accound has a zero limit - I assume this is becasue I can only have one account for the actual group of companies - if so, how come you have 4 accounts with 4 different limits? Have I missed the point - thanks for any advice.

    Hi Milford..
First account I applied for was Simplybe..came back immediately with £125 limit so I ordered £60 worth of goods. Fashion World gave me £200 immediately so ordered £36. Jd Williams gave me £125 as did Jacamo but both disappeared overnight down to zero then back up.
Since then lots of increases apart from Jacamo which I haven't used yet.
Report to all 3 agencies so good for green zero's
    Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0
    Next..Limit £?? bal £0 Asda..limit £1250 bal £440,

Hi lilmissmup, welcome to the thread.
I placed the Lloyds Banking Group Visa Debit card on the front page as it is available to people with past financial problems, just another card to the deck.

Will it help his credit report him having it? Hes had it about five year years now.

The account reports to all three credit reference agencies, so as long as the account is managed well he will get a green tick on his credit files.

Thanks a lot, hes managed it well although doesn't have an overdraft on it. His wages go in each week and thats it, all bills come out of mine and he gives me cash.

He does have a £10 buffer zone though on it.

Has your OH asked about upgrading to a classic account?

It maybe possible if he hasn't had any problems on the cash card account.
