    i followed a suggestion in another post and got 6 mispriced kids books today and will be donating them to my local christmas pressie collection for underprivileged kids. the cs lady actually congratulated me on getting my finds for free. a team leader was stood next to me and she even patted me on the back!!!! i still can`t believe how nice they were, not at all like my other local stores.
    in regards to the other money saver, who thinks us finding misprices is indecent, firstly tell the kids who will receive an xmas pressie that and secondly if what we do disgusts you, don`t read the thread. imho of course. :A
    Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.

    As in this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=1191907#post1191907 I ordered a box of wine for £24. The receipt with deilvery shows that I have been charged £75 (confirmed by an amount reserved from my bank account).

    A manager is supposed to be calling me after 2:00 today (won't hold my breath).

    I've never made use of the R&R policy, so am a bit of a novice.

    Its on page 201 of this thread and its from Tesco site so assum it covers online as well cos doesn't say otherwise. Did you get what you ordered?

    I believe any shareholder is entitled to attend the annual general meeting, this year I believe it was in june. At this meeting there may be the opportunity to raise concerns to the man voted the most 'respected' businessman in the country, ie the Tesco CEO, or in the words of many MSEr now aware of Tesco's despicable plot to consistently overcharge customer the 'least respected' businessman in the country, as this lack of control must go right to the top. This is a forum attend by serious investors, the press, etc and it would be seriously embarassing if a shareholder asked a question on the subject of pricing control, in front of this audience with the relevant evidence to back up this claim, ie several dozen overcharge receipts.
    Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund. :rolleyes:

    EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

    I've just been to tesco and picked up my first freebies! I got an AA B&B 2006 guide and 2 lynard skynard albums. Can you exchange these for something else in tesco (from the same department or elsehwere) - CS wrote refunded on my receipt for the three items, will this affect the ability for me to exchange them? also how do i go about it, do i ask CS first or just pick what i want to exchange them for and take them all to the CS desk and pay the difference on top?

As I and others have said just want to be able to shop in the safe knowledge that I will be charged the correct amount for my goods without having to scrutinise my receipts. {not just Mr T's but all retail and banks, credit cards] And think of the thousands out there who for one reason or another cannot or will not make a fuss over being ripped off, us with gobs are speaking for up them.

    I challenged Tesco two weeks ago on a "Buy one, get one free" [BOGOF] deal on TV dinners.

    The checkout lad said I had to purchase two of the same meal variety and not mix n match a chicken with a pork meal.

    I asked for a manager to confirm this, and because the store was busy, he said: "Oh alright then, you can have the deal"

    Does the BOGOF deal really mean "bog off"?

    Dont ever ever ever lose your temper, become aggresive or even start to raise your voice.....this is the easiest way for them to have a get out clause ie. The customer became aggresive thats why I didnt give the refund.

    I always greet the manager when he comes over, smile and make sure my actions are kept to a bare minimum (cctv), as the conversation continues I always start lowering my voice instead of heating up....

    As a customer service manager for tesco - you are exactly the type of customer we love.
    If you have not had a great shopping experience that day and want to speak to a manager, if you are nice, polite and able to amicably discuss your problem, i would say 9 times out of ten you will go away satisfied.

    If you come all guns blazing, shouting, demanding "the customer is always right" (which by the way is not company policy), and If you have spoken to my staff with a rude unpleasent attitude, then I can guarantee you will not get your own way with me. A silent staff policy within tesco is if the customer is rude, show them the door. If they speak to you how you would speak to your best friend - give them what they want.

    Sorry but that really isn't true when dealing with certain stores. I am always very polite when I deal with Tesco's staff and at most stores they are polite back to me, and also do their job properly.

    However, there are a number of problem stores out there and I am the victim of one of them. I found them rather impolite and very unhelpful even before i discovered misprices.

    I never raised my voice with them once, yet in different visits there i have been subjected to:

    1. lengthy "interegations" as to my shopping habits, who the items were for, and incredible time wasting (at least half an hour to get my money) - and this was by a manager! (he literally stood there for 5 minutes just staring at the product without saying or doing anything whatsoever)

    2. Staff laughing at me sarcasticly when asking to return the item (due to them denying the refund and keep item promise).

    3. Numerous false allegations made in front of large numbers of other customers.

    4. Having security stop me from accompanying staff to the misprice - resulting in someone hiding the offending SEL's and thus denying me the refund.

    I get a satisfactory experiance 1 time out of 10 from that store and don't appreciate being made to feel like a criminal every single time I get overcharged. I wouldn't want to see the manager either or any senior member of staff at that store becasue they're the worst of the lot at that particular tescos.

    i'm clearly the sort of customer that you like, so i hate to think what happens to other people when they visit that store. :eek:
