yes, noticed BEFORE the sale so no contract formed at 1p.It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

Does anyone, beyond me, actually feel that there is something rather indecent about consistently setting out to get something for nothing? Could it even be described as fraudulent? Mistakes are made, which is doubtless why Tesco have this refund policy. But was it really designed to allow what can only be described as systematic abuse - with people competing to see who can get the biggest refund!
Of course, what will happen is that Tesco will eventually withdraw the policy. Only a matter of time. Or do people believe that this is a victimless "crime"? It's not - when goods are given away for nothing, profits go down, and therefore prices go up to compensate. So those of us who don't go shopping in Tesco to hunt for misprices end up subsidising those who do!
Just IMHO, of course!
Last month I was overcharge by 75p each on 2 jars of nescafe, if just 10 jars were sold in each store on that day Tesco would have made £15000 in overcharges on One Product - and I would bet they sell a lot more than 10 jars a day each. I don't think my £11.50 r&r on 2 jars would have upset them much - they didn't remove the SEL and I can only presume this is because they make much more than they loose on these overcharges. I think the ones to feel sorry for are the other 20,000 customers who all got overcharged and didn't notice - not Tesco0 -
Ok thanks for that. The books are a bargain at 9-95 anyway but if we can save money then there is no harm in trying.Have you got a job yet?

My thoughts exactly - I often wonder how many people are overcharged every day in comparison to the number of us who actively seek out overcharges. I'm guessing the balance is still in Mr T's favour.

I have been Verbally BANNED by the store manager from Tescos in Brandon, Suffolk due to the R & R policy. Before I explain what happened I wish to thank everyone who has helped contribute to these forums for some great knowledge and highlighting the amount of over charged items made by Mr. T!
Hi Every little helps. and welcome to the club (I got banned from my local store last week too). Sounds as if you handled the situation very well - I know how intimidating it feels when staff gang up on you like that.
Have to say getting them to refund all your shopping was a great idea - they certainly don't deserve to make any money out of you (though perhaps you should have told them the real reason you wanted the refund).
They have of course admitted to overcharging you by agreeing that the sign was wrong - therefore either give head office one more chance or report them to trading standards.
Head office told me they can't do anything about bans for an individual store though still worth complaining. Anyone know how long these bans last?0 -
I kinda lose what the current mis-prices are because of all the "I gots" and "Not me's" that are posted, it would be great if we could just have one long list of all the current ones that can be edited as they become obsolete .... OH NO .... you're all looking at me now as if to say - okay, you do it (me now groaning, "winge winge, too busy etc. and too lazy ....please will someone else do it???") Oh come on guys, I should get some credit for neckiness and pure honesty!!0

I used to work for Tescos (before i walked out coz they are crap employers!) and i got trained on the tills and we got told that if something scans through at less than it is labelled then it has to go through at that amount.Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0
