had a bad experience today
Noticed the Fresh topside of beef (medium) at 6.28/kg on package but on shelf at 5.98
Went to CS for refund , initially was offered the difference, I pointed out the refund and kepp policy, was told would have to get a manager from that section. Snotty nosed woman comes over, goes and checks, comes back with with 2 shelf labels, one at 5.98 , one at 6.28, says she can't refund me as they were displaying the correct price on shelf. She says customers sometime put wrongly priced items in front of other shelf prices, I point out that I can accept that if it's one or two items, but not a tray of 10 3 12 items!!!!
I ask to see a "proper" manager, he comes over, and he agrues the same point. He says they are displaying the correct price on shelf, I say u are displaying 2 different prices, he won't budge, I tell him the 6.28 shelf price wqasn't there, he accuses me of saying his staff are disonnect, I say I find it strange that they can advertise 2 different prices for one product, he says the price on shelf was 6.28 and the pack was 6.28, so I aint got a case!!!
I told them to keep their beef, I would go else where and get some, he smugly said to CS girl, give customer a £5 gift voucher!!!

I'm gonna get u Mr T , big style

How about we all clear the shelves of these 4 misprices at Tesco's throughout the country, take them into Superdrug and donate them to the 'This morning' Christmas presents for kids fund?
They have been mispriced for weeks and weeks and I think that's a disgrace, so how about we all band together, clear the shelves and do something useful with them?
I'm a fairy book with wings. sticker £2.97 charges £3.97
I'm a ballerina with Tutu. sticker £2.97 charges £3.97
Disney once upon a dfream songs (with star nightlight) sticker £4.97 charges £6.97
Thomas the tank engine flashing lights book. sticker £4.97 charges £6.97
I've never cleared a shelf but am willing to buy 6 each of these (so adhering to bulk buy rules) if they have them in.0 -

You have my sympathy .... you know your right, i know your right .... its only the thicko managers at these stores dont know their jobs!
You probably should have tried to phone customer services at the time and they may have set the manager right.
Anyhow you should write to HO and complain (get the managers name) that they wouldnt sell at the lower price - or give you the full refund and product back as is their customer policy.
Its important that the managers learn how to deal with price inconsistencies.0 -

You should have asked to call HO there and then. If two prices are shown on the shelf, they are legally obliged to sell at the lower price. Simple as that. They can be fined for not selling at the lower price. You should have had a full refund and kept the goods. Still, it's not too late. Phone HO and complain. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Can anyone give me the web page for Tesco that has the mispricing policy on? My sister in law needs it to show the out-laws before they actually try it.
I seem to remember it was on here in the last 3 months but my searches have been in vain! and its not in my favourites.0 -

The salient para.'s at the head of this thread - sorted by the unstinting RedFox.
On Mr T's own bumf, it appears as the penultimate para., the last one being a one-liner only.
Good luck - and ensure they have 0800-505555 logged into their mobiles in case of difficulty with/at CS.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Unpleasant experience - sadly proves it's necessary to accompany them to offending area and be pleasantly pachydermous/deaf about it if they tell you to stay where you are. Just sublimely ignore and sail close.
Hope you've made your complaint - let us know how you get on.
