I have an older version of this see http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3728&item=5729991349&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW (Please I am showing you this for info only not to bid) It is an excellent piece of kit and some have argued that the software is superior to Tom tom. I paid £350 :( for this exactly a year ago but I have to admit I am tempted :-/ to upgrade to the newer version. This is because it claims that the unit has an integrated GPS which means that you can use it outside of the car. Whether integrated is the same as bluetooth I am not sure but one advantage of ALDI is that they would take the unit back if you are not happy with it.
Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?
  • integrated reciever !!!!!!!!!!!!
its part of the pda and flips up.its at the rear but cannot be seen in the aldi pics.
warning the battery does not last long on these and they are not bluetooth, but they do have ir port
  • Hi i am confused when is this pc available from i have tried to search the aldi site but theres nothing on there, really want one of these, sounds amazing value! is it pc package (with monitor)?
    please help someone
    thanks :)

I think the new Aldi/Medion PC will be the MD 8083
Could be the 8084XL currently on sale in Aldi in the States:

Looking at medion.co.uk - in the top left hand corner it says Medion Titanium MD8083: All information on the new Aldi-/Medion-PC

There is then the link as I posted above

I'm assuming that this is the one that they will be offering - last year the model I brought was £849, I'd have thought they'd spec it up a little and retail it at a similar or slightly lower price...£749-£849

Quick run-down of mine form last year..

Real 3.0Ghz Intel Pentium 4 Processor Titanium MD 8080XL £849.99

If you go into this to read about specs, on the bottom right corner the Aldi sign comes up. If you move your mouse over this it says available from 1 April 2004. Presume this was an earlier offer then?

Please see my original note, PC's available towards the end of November.  I have a leaflet with the offer on, but the pc is covered up and does not list the price or spec, but as I said in my earlier note, think some Aldi stores may be advertising in advance with posters in the window.   The only time it will be on the website is the week before it's due to go on sale.  If i find further details, I'll let you know...The pc's are usually base unit only.
