really? Its the big base cushion you sit on not just a throw cushion.... will i ever get it dry?0

Squeese as much water out of it after rinsing. It will take a day or so to dry beside a heater and you got to keep turning it but it will dry.0

Have you actually checked the base cushion to find out how deep the 'offending liquid' soaked in? May not have gone as deep as you think as the cover could have absorbed most of it anyway.
Good Luck!
We had to have our darling cat pts last April and in his last couple of months he really 'tested our love' with his little accidents. Before becoming ill he had always been such a lovely clean cat.

A wet n dry vacuum cleaner is priceless with cats :rotfl:
Soak the hell out the area and vac it out until nothing remains. Maybe add some gentle soap and slightly warm water for stubborn stains that you didn't see immediately adding elbow grease as you go.
For things that are protable like clothes, run them directly under a fast powerful tap from the reverse side to get the main stain out fast...and gentle hand wash with hand soap like Fairy and warm water to get rid of the ring it will leave at the edges. Usually the reason that fabrics shrink when wet is the drying too fast, slow and gentle with everything except the initial cat removal and puke scooping.
It goes without saying that using any type of chemicals (Even salt) is best tested on an out of the way test area first.
Salt is used to fix dyes ...and it does a decent job of fixing some stains into fabrics too...it just gets moisture out well, it's not good for removing stains at all on most fabrics.

Hi not sure if too late but we had this prob a while back when our cat must have sicked up a fur ball on our sofa..costing just under £1k you can understand i was very wary to wash in the machine and spent ages deciding what to do with it after i had wiped with a damp cloth there was no stain at all it was just the smell..
The instructions said 'specialist cleaning only' and the co i rung said they would do the 1 cushion cover for £75 (no guaruntee of shrinkage or colour loss either) eek..no thanks i thought so put a layer of washing power on the inside of the cushion to try and remove the smell..didnt work..neither did a whole bottle of febreeze! So (and i am getting there!) last resort was morrisons dry clean..i took it in nervous as could be and left it..Magic good as new..clean smelt lovely and all for £3 summin..BUT the washing powder i put on must have reacted and has left a very slight patch where it was..they think it will come out when next done so will see but it worked..
Good luck0 -
