This reminds me of the time when I told my husband that the cat had been sick in our living room, for some reason he decided that rather than switching on the light he would search for the sick by bending down and ‘sweeping’ his hand across the carpet.

My reaction when he found it still is a point of contention between us… :rotfl:

I got home tonight to find the cat's been sick on the new, very expensive, pale carpet

It was cold but not hard, so I think fairly fresh :o

I cleared it up and used cold water on a new, clean cloth to wet and blot. But it seems to be worse :(

Not sure what to use as the carpet is new, 80 per cnet wool, and pale. I paid £2k for these carpets!!!

It's not sick so much as biscuits she brought back up whole, if that helps to advise me.

I have an organic stain spray thing that usually isn;t much cop, washing up liquid, soap, but no other detergent type things.

    Any ideas? I am GUTTED.

Ammonia works wonders. Dilute some in water and rub. It'll take the smell away too. But keep the room well ventilated.
I also have this thing, White Wizard, I bought it in Lakeland and fred me completely from a stain of paint a couple of weeks old on my bran new cream-coloured carpet. I adore the stuff.

Any suggestions for using stuff that I have as listed? Please? Am v worried it will stain permanently :(

I am unable to help you with the stain but I think an ounce of lead behind the ear of the cat would stop it happening again.

I would put it there with a shotgun.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

ok, emergency treatment: dilute washing liquid (for clothes or for dishes) in water, take a terry towel or a sponge, and rub. Rinse with another clean towel or sponge. Dry the excess water with a towel. The earliest you do it the better.

    hello

try the washing up liquid, but don't use too much, or make it too wet. Lakeland orders usually arrive within a day or two, so might be worth a go.

    good luck
