heaven forbid, no stardrops
then dilute some biological washing powder in very hot watr, then use clean water and dry, wouldnt have thought if it was just biscuits it should have made too bad a mark, probably looks worse on a light carpet now its wet, but when dry will look better

I was given this tip by a friend a few years ago .... a weak solution of Ariel (the biological kind). The enzymes will break down the residue of food and it will take some of the smell away. I would do a patch test first. Take a clean cloth and gently work into the fibres of the carpet. Leave for about 10-20mins but don't put too much on that the carpet is really wet. Then take a clean towel and press hard to take up the excess water and wipe up any suds. Rinse with clean water and use a fresh bit of the towel to remove the water. Alternatively bicarb of soda in warm water may help.
Good luck!Now debtfree except for the mortgage!0 -
I do hope so Twink - the water is worse than the tiny mark that was there once I'd cleaned the solids off! Am v upset.
But you are right, it's probably just cos it's wet - shall I let it dry before I fiddle with it any more?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

meant to say if the fibres look a bit matted, just give it a ruffle with your hand or use a small brush lightly in the morning when dry0
-
As it's so new, perhaps you should check if the house insurance covers accidental damage such as this?0
-
Try drying it with a hairdryer to restore the fluffiness.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
