I can only find pics that fit the specifications for the A4 size prints....so does it depend upon your camera then? ???0

pants. My camera takes 4 mill pixel pictures, and so I only qualify for A4. Still, not a bad freebie.0

if you don't know the megapixel quality of your camera, open up your image file in the software that came with your digital camera and view the properties for that image file. It should give you the exact image pixel size of your picture, eg: mine was 2272 x 1704 (which is 3,871,488 pixels or 3.87 million). Hope that helps anyone who is confused about working out what their picture's pixel size is. ;D0

or if you have photoshop you could create a blank canvas at 2976x4209 pixels size and then paste a number of seperate photos in there.. make your own bit of art..
or you could stretch an existing picture to make it bigger (but dont stretch it too much or it will look rubbish) :-/Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
First reply - seems I sent a private message instead of a general replyto Sloppychops - sorry
, but has been answered. To get an A2 size print you would need a professional camera. A 4 Megapixel camera would give a very good A4 print at 2304 x 1704 with no compression

Oh dear...still confused about this...
My camera sez it's 2.1 m pixels
Checked...'Properties' -> 'Summary' - of the pic I want to use and it showed as
width 1728 pixels
hight 2304 pixels
So...would this be OK for the A4 size print???
(Epson's spec for A4 sez 1488 x 2105 at capture - whatever that means! ???0 -

Yes shiraz, you could get an A4 print with that image.
It is a shame that in order to get an A2 print you need some serious photographic kit. I have a 4 mega pixel camera (Canon Powershot A80), and I got a 18x12 inch enlargement (around A3 size) done on one of these online printing services.
This image looks great, and I'm sure an A2 print wouldnt look shoddy at all. Ok I'd lose a bit of clarity looking at it close up, but then from a distance it'd look fine e.g. advertising billboards.
But then again Epson are bound to want ridiculously high res images, if they're putting their reputation of their new printer on the line. No room for loss of image detail then is there.
Still I'd be happy with a good A2 print of my image, as opposed to a super detailed professional print - its gonna look great on the wall from your sofa anyway eh?0 -

Thanks Jolsa
Thought it looked promising but nice to have a second opinion.
(A2 would have been nce tho :-X)0 -
Thanks for that Jolsa.
I'm gonna whittle my images down to a suitable image and send it to them soon.
My A80's max resolution will mean I can get an A4. Great stuff.
