I tend to agree with weegie.geek.
There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Thanks for that guys. That did cross my mind. Further developments - she's given me an £8 refund and has sent the headphones on. I've already emailed and said I'm happy with that, but now I'm having second thoughts. What do you think?

I'd have expected more than £8 for the unit being damaged and not as described.

If you've already said you're happy with it you don't really have much chance of getting anything more, but I'd have gone for at least 20% off, for the hassle and the item not living up to expectations. Given the cost and hassle of them relisting the item and refunding you, they probably would've gone for it.

Having said that, with the £8 I'm sure you'll be able to get some scratch removing polish stuff, and tidy the screen up.

Thats exactly what I thought weegie. O well, £8 will buy me some displex, as you say, and a case as well probably. Thanks. I'm still inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt tbh, seeing as how she gave me the £8 without my asking and has sent the headphones on. But anyway. The plug on the USB cable has a crack in it, which I haven't mentioned, btw. Not really important but still.

Hi again. Ok, I've now received the earphones and these are damaged and have been used! They work, but the casing is broken. What do you all think I should do now? Should I ask for more money, and if so how much? Thanks again.

Emailed the seller to ask for a further £15. That was a couple of days ago, no reply as yet.
