Depends when he's arriving  I probably will be nice and pick him up - have a play in Ikea or something while I'm that way...

If you have an Ikea Family Card you get free tea/coffee. You don't have to be a family. If you don't have the card, look out for the form around the store. Fill it in there and post it in the box beside the forms, they then send you a red plastic card... and you get free tea/coffee whenever you're passing by showing the card.

It's their way of being able to put you on their mailing list, but there are extra discounted prices for card holders and other deals sometimes.

Why does it all seem to stir up when this thread is going?

Got home from work, found Lodger3 looking all shifty, and he finally announced that after only 2 months he's moving out... I asked him when and he said "actually I'm already packed"!

Anyone looking for a room?

    :p Proud to be a MoneySaver! :p
  • Does that mean that lodger 4 can have a bigger room?

He seems quite polite and not noisy, (famous last words)

Yeah - apparently his Dad's been laid off so he's moving back home to help out. His own job is also a little uncertain at the moment, and I don't think he's great at budgeting (he was living at home before he came here). I'm a little relieved - all the chucking up in baths and declaring drunken love for me was a bit much

I'd love to offer Lodger4 a bigger room - of course, it's £100 a month more expensive so we'll see whether he wants it first!
