I've got one week to apply for redeployment and, to be fair, it's very likely that I can still get a job with the same company. Just not one I'll particularly enjoy or therefore excel at. And of course, the mortgage rate dropped again this week so I could still live quite acceptably, if frugally, without a job for a while if it came to it.
So been applying for other jobs in the meantime, including one in Barcelona! Well, you never know
Bubbles, I like your thinking therePossibly a bit risky on my part though!
ah, there's still hope then! Good.
I've no idea what redeployment is about as I've never worked anywhwere that was big enough/had it. But it sounds good!
Oooh Barcelona! Furren! I've never been abroad, but it can't be easy going to a foreign country because you have to have so much understanding about stuff. Say, the equivalent of our tax laws, transport/driving laws, renting laws. Not to mention the fact that even buying simple everyday things could be challenging!
But you could meet a bullfighter!0 -

I love challenges! And I've got the advantage of my family living 3 hours drive away (SW France), so I'd actually feel more supported than I do here. The company's an expatriate British one with full relocation packageBit of a pipedream though, I might never hear back from them...

come to think of it after seeing all ur witty / funny / tongue in cheek posts i cant figure out why u dont have a line of bullfighters lining up outside ur house to take u out.:p . or maybe u should take in lodgers as well, u never know when bullfighting would be allowed in the uk but i am pretty sure there must be other interesting guys around ur area too. :beer:bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

There must BE interesting guys in my area. But how would one know? I am a recluse/hermit and know nobody really. And it always looks grey/wet outside, so I tend to be here instead0 -
u certainly are an interesting hermit and a well read one at that. probably if u and badgerlady organised an event together then u might meet THE bullfighter of ur dreams or at the very least get badgerlady to pick the 'right' lodger :j
last but not the least that would give the both of u enough ammo to keep this thread going and keep it interesting for a lot longer.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
