It would be a good idea to include those terms in your articles and/or a glossary. It must be confusing for new members to see talk of stoozing tarts thinking about stable relationships!

    Thats a good idea

OK what other common credit card terms are there that need to be in the glossary that would help a newbie

    Stoozing/Free Cash
    Tarting
    Stable Relationships
    Cashback (kid)
    Balance Transfer
    Super Balance Transfers
    Repayment Schedules
    Loading
    Go To rate

More suggestions appreciated. I think it'll make a nice piece.

PS. Just so fool users know - if you read my 'REVENGE FREE CASH' article i do give credit where credits due for the word stoozing :)

I think a common set of terms would be good, Martin. The following are the various Stoozing words that get used on the Fool.

Stoozing - verb. exploiting 0% deals for profit (by putting the money into a savings account)
To Stooz(e) - verb. (same as Stoozing)
Stoozer - noun. Someone who stoozes
Stooz Pot - noun. Where you put your stoozing money or the total value of your stoozing money

All your other suggested terms look pretty good. I agree that Stoozing does not really include cashback but I included it in the Stoozing FAQ because it was all about different ways of making money from credit cards.

I think having a term for Super-Balance-Transfers is good and the term itself isn't bad .... but it would be better if it was a bit more explanatory e.g. Bank-balance-transfer or Direct-bank-transfer or something like that. However, I'll go with the flow. SBT has started to be used a bit on the Fool.

Well you could always take a peek at other peoples for inspiration. eg Money Extra

However a couple that cause endless questions are:
    APR
    The difference between AER% & Gross %
Net % on savings including what that means to non-tax payers and higher rate tax payers.
Then there is Rule of 78
And I think the definition of Credit ought to be "Debt". People seem to forget.

EDIT: Just noticed you said credit card terms and some of those arn't. Still, I think a general glossary would be a good idea.
EDIT2: 'Cos my sentance didn't make sense. Better not get me to define any terms!

'Interest Free Period' - IFP - [aka 'grace period'] on purchases OR other transactions
    Distinguish various types of 'Cashback'
'Non purchase/Special cashback' [eg £50 for doing something - not specifically purchase related]
'Cashback period' [i.e. period over which normal CB must be accrued]
    Minimum Payment
    Direct Debit
Summary Box - This is so useful - everthing is there and if it isn't you point it out to the issuer and they HAVE to correct the mistakes, don't they?
    Estimated Interest
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
