Yep, I hate that word too. Didn't we have a poll about it recently? Just found it here - super tarting won, which I think is a much better name.
And I agree, the word's always been around here, but it's become a million times more popular in the last week or so. It puts me off coming in here. (Yes, I'm sad)
Just curious but ... why? Why are you put off? Personally, I don't like the term "tarting", not least as it has some sexual connotation
But I certainly wouldn't want to miss all the relevant articles/posts on Stoozing or Tarting - but only in relation in money management, you understandWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
I wonder, who coined the word in the first place ? I'd have called it 'scroting ' Which sounds even worse but thats what the stats people in financial institutions do all day-tweak the percentages to advantage.
Can we replace this horrible slang with something less unflattering ?

To be honest. I think Stoozing is the word. It's becoming used and i decided not to be precious.
While on this site it will always be the Free Cash article, i think the verb is stoozing. I have used it and i will do so. And you will also find i include mention of the name and history in that article
The Fool users and this site have much in common and similar terms will help all. I notice 'Super Balance Transfer' is becoming used there too.
