This is one in my area, I can see the one you show going the same way. Was bought exactly a year ago for £345,000 and has been sat there ever since. Initially was on at £475k and has been reduced and reduced. It has been "renovated" cosmetically but once you factor in stamp duty, mortgage payments and selling costs (I sound like Beeny
) they must already be facing a loss. Flopping is the new flipping.
Thanks for the update0 -
I've had a quick look on rightmove, couldn't help but laugh at the road name:

There's loads of similar things on within 3 miles for £140K.Happy chappy0 -

Since records began it is both the cheapest and the most expensive sold in that road!
No idea about number 15 but I do know all the houses on there are the same layout - well the one I showed the kitchen WAS a ''dining room'' and the actual kitchen was tiny and just inside those double doors at the back where the decking is - most have either been done like this one (kitchen diner) or still have the tiny kitchen!tomstickland wrote: »I've had a quick look on rightmove, couldn't help but laugh at the road name:

Yes I always chuckle at the name after years of seeing it, Sir Titus Salt names all the streets after his Kids so he had a daughter called that, poor kid0 -

not as bad as this near me...0 -
Being originally from Bradford I know the area reasonably well. Shipley is - on the whole - a fairly upmarket area of Bradford but while it is a nicely done house, £170k is well steep for that.
I think £130k is more realistic mysel, maybe £110-120k in the current market.

It'll be interesting to see what they eventually get for it.
I guess the first thing will be the price cutting in a desperate bid to sell it.
If they've paid £131K for it, plus fees, then plus the actual renovation, I wonder how much they have tied up in it altogether?
If they spent £20K they'll be looking at £155K with the fees, etc, then fees again when they sell it - they won't have a lot of room for manouever I think.0 -
Old local here too, and I'm shock how much that house is for sale.
The houses in old Saltaire are lovely if come with huge problems as they are all listed and you will be hammered if you try to alter anything especially externally (used to work in the council working with the listed buildings in Saltaire so remember it well).
A lovely part of the world (not surprised you don't really want to live on the Bradford side)See the stars they’re shining brightEverything’s alright tonight0
