Its a lovely house im gutted for you about losing out on it, myself and my partner are wanting to head back over the Shipley / Saltaire way but its almost impossible to find anything worth the money.

As for rentals its even worse thanks to all the apartments springing up left right and center!

yup this is the problem in the area its been flooded and there a plans for at least 100 more iirc and they have put in PP for 200 more off dockfields road if you know it to link up to the canal - it is ridiculous - there is such a glut of them!

I also agree though the prices at the moment in some roads are overpriced Like the one shown and the next one on from that (marlborough) yet litterally 30 seconds drive on toward bradford just past the lights there is Clifton/Norword for £120-£140k for very similar sizes!

We are having trouble finding rented, there either very dated and ''scruffy'' or they are to small (like all the ones in Saltaire village!)

It's an end terrace with a new lick of paint, some colourful wallpaper and a new kitchen.

    Hardly warrants "gorgeous".

    :rotfl:

I agree, while I think it is very nice, I do think it is something that is easily achievable for most people with a spec of imagination!

    LOL!

I live in Keighley & so know the area quite well (used to work for Pace in Saltaire as well).

I think they're completely & totally hatstand if they think they'll get that price. They'll be lucky to get their £130K back!

I don't remember your original post, why didn't you buy at £85k when it was offered to you?

I don't think the reality of the situation has sunk in yet for a lot of people.

I know apparently it was a 'couple' who purchased it, not some lone builder, Im guessing a new ''business'' for them as anyone wanting to make a profit in this ''game'' would not have paid £131k for it in the times when there were stong talks of a HPC if they knew what they were doing. Granted its done up nice but not £170k's worth of nice pmsl. TBH I know its new builds (well abuot 10 yr old ish) but for 30k more you can have a 3/4 bed detached on Cote Farm with a nice garden, drive and garage! (although yes I know they are over priced also!)

They were waiting for everything to go through Sols etc had lots of delays there then we were told she had decided to put it through auction anyway and we were not wanting to buy at auction

The agent couldn't even spell the road name right

What's so different/special about number 15 in that road?
Since records began it is both the cheapest and the most expensive sold in that road!
