Shall we put the question up in some sort of serious way, then? You know, instead of burying it on this forum where, as the site management hopes, it will quietly die, perhaps actually running it as a suggestion to members?
Let's face the real problem: actual suggestions from site members aren't welcome. They are particularly unwelcome if they're going to mean a bit of site redesign i.e. work/expense.
You seem to think that this is some kind of ego trip on my part. I'm not sure how you derive that and can only assume you are resorting to such unpleasant comments for lack of anything more substantial to support your ideas.
I can assure you that my suggestion is simply an observation drawn from, as Basil Fawlty would have put it, the 'bleeding obvious'.
This board is full of suggestions from site members!
The great majority (all but one from what I can see!) are responded to and discussed by other MSEers or members of the MSE Team.
I can only think of one reason why a thread would receive such a lack of response. I'll leave you to figure the reason out for yourself!Gone ... or have I?0 -

I buy pants on a far more regular basis than TV's or fridges, therefore could we have a pants board; it could be entitled:
Pants (quick grab 'em) Board...
What do you think dmg??
Oh and just to keep the peace with CK, I am helping this issue by keeping it bumped up the boards so those lovely folk at MSE might see it !!(btw I have to disagree with your comment about them not welcoming suggestions but maybe thats just my take on things)
I'm liking the pants idea, but could we amend the title slightly please:Pants (quick pull 'em down) Board
I think it would get many more hits than the:Charlton the TV King Board

I wanted to post a question today about LCD TVs and found to my dismay that there were at least 4 forums in which it made perfect sense to place the thread. I did just that and then actually got told off by a busybody who didn't seem able to realise that this problem existed.
This is silly............
You should take time to read the forum rules and you would see that you are not supposed to cross post. Your forum etiquette leaves a lot to be desired as illustrated in this thread here where you posted a problem and never even bothered to return to the thread!Charlton_King wrote: »Let's face the real problem: actual suggestions from site members aren't welcome. I don't believe that is true at all. This forum has seen many changes and improvements! Basically you are just lazy!
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Words like 'hornets' and 'nest' come to mind.
I think I can tell when a trolling collective is at work.

I know I can be a bit curt at times but this collection of posts from Charlton King takes your breath away for its sheer rudeness.
When I used to shout " I want,I want,I want " as a child I was always despatched with a well-aimed back-hander from my mother - fortunately MSErs have given him an online equivalent !0
