Should there be a national petrol strike?

disgusting isnt it
Is that really that disgusting? Tesco made a profit of £3.2bn in 2009 and operates in a safe UK environment. BP operate with real risk from natural forces and despotic countries which continually threaten their overseas operations. When Tesco spends £50m opening a new store they know they will have customers from the time they open. When BP drills for oil they know it could be a £100m white elephant. The man without a signature.0 -
disgusting isnt it
Why? Oil is a commodity, BP are a business. Put the two together and you usually get profit.
BP have done the legwork to get the oil from the ground to your local pump - surely they deserve to be paid for that? After all, if you don't like it, you can always go and try digging up your own oil.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. if you can suggest something to make the price drop please let us know
put the bank rate up to 6-7% this will cause sterling to rise drastically against the dollar and slash 20-30% of the price of oil (bought in dollars)
withdraw the free money Gordo the Clown printed (200 bill) this will make sterling more valuable and rise its price by 20% against the dollar
do both and petrol will go down to about 85p a litre0 -
Buy a diesel car / van.built before 2004.
Pour vegetable oil into it.
never buy petrol again.
Possibly be fined for avoiding excise."Gold is the money of kings; silver is the money of gentlemen; barter is the money of peasants; but debt is the money of slaves." - Norm Franz0 -
You can legally use up to a certain amount without having to pay tax now, not sure of the exact amounts but I think it would see the average driver though the year without paying any duty.shaven-monkey wrote: »Buy a diesel car / van.built before 2004.

Oh and some built before 2004 will still not run on veg oil, can knacker fuel pumps, injectors etc. Make sure to get a vehicle which has been proven to work well with veg oil.0
