Have to agree with the two posts above, I love my George, we use it all the time and find a hot cloth does the job to clean them.
Bought a juicer and used once
Sandwich maker- horrible to clean
I have a 'billy' blender, tbh haven't used it a great deal lately but did when the DS's we small for pureed food0 -
Juicer - as others have said, a pain to clean for not much reward.
Stick blender - I think I've used it once.
One of those plastic multi-slicer things - it seemed so useful during the supermarket demonstration, but it's never been out of the box.
Iced cream maker - too much hassle freezing the dish, and expensive and time consuming making the iced cream mix.I have no signature.0 -
Juicer - nightmare to clean. Supposed to be able to put it straight in the dishwasher. Nope had to clean it with a nail brush. I freecycled it.
Gazelle walker machine - sat in my living room for 3 years. Used it religiously for 3 months and didn't see a difference. I freecycled it.
Tuxedo Paint system - basically a roller with a hollow middle you pour the paint into and you're supposed to be able to wear your best clothes and be able to paint and not get splattered! I ended up covered! Its still buried in the hall cupboard. I'll need to get rid of it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
OH has a 'George Formby' (as my gran once referred to it and which consequently stuck) and absolutely loves it, so that's staying. I'm also very attached to my stick blender which I used for soups all the time at uni.
The one thing I don't get the point of is a breadmaker, as I make perfectly OK bread without one.I bought a JML "Bobbel off" for defuzzing jumpaers..pah! useless.
Razor blades make a good alternative, although you need to go carefully if you don't want to give your clothes the 'distressed' look."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

Slow cooker is the thing I don't get on with! That'll be going very soon...

A stick blender and one of these little mini food processors (as recommended by Delia) are probably the two most used gadgets in our kitchen. The EasiYo yoghurt flask is also used quite regularly. Our ancient pressure cooker is regularly used for stockmaking in winter but apart from these I've learnt my lesson and refuse to waste money on other gadgets I know I won't use.0

Chocolate fountain - fun to use (although as cooking-mama mentioned, I am choosy about who I use it with...!!
) but a nightmare to clean...which kind of put a dampener on using it...
Juicer/Smoothie maker (a gift from PILs, who know that their darling son loves his smoothies) - we haven't the heart to tell them that the stick blender is quicker to use and much easier to wash up!
A chopping machine (not sure what exactly its called as I inherited it from a friend of my Mum's who died - but she was a QVC-aholic, so I can only presume it was a TSV! :rotfl:). It has a box about 9x3x3 inches, with a drawer that pulls out, plus range of slicing blades which fit on the top and a feeder thing (a bit like you get on a food processor) so you can feed bits of food down into the blades (does this explanation make any sense...?!?!). It was a very quick way of making coleslaw, but it literally took apart into a million pieces to wash, so any time saved before the event was completely wasted afterwards, as it was so tricky to wash (and even trickier to dry!). I think its the only "gadget" that we have refused to give a second chance!!! :wall:
The Gazelle walker - the jury's still out on this one... It didn't help with the planned weightloss...but it did hold so much more wet washing than the old exercise bike  - does that make it good or not...?! Can't quite decide!
