when i first got to england, my first and current contract was with 3 via a cashback offer in a shop from phones4u (didnt believe or know these amazing deals exsisted). With the cash back its is 10pounds a month and for the first 6 months it was 500m 400t but now its half. The chequeback was hassle free but after reading all this forum i'm super worried. thats why i am asking rather straight forward questions. am i correct with my calculations of my cashback dates?
really is there anything else to watch out for doing cashbacks with e2save please?
kind regards,
toothy0 -
Not wishing to worry you, but yes, lots to look out for with e2save (basically, you need to really understand the T&Cs of the offer as they apparently try to catch you out according to this extensive thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=226689).
Good luck

thanks for the heads up that it is october they want. My first "bill" will be for 13th May till 13th June correct?
Please could you confirm that my following assumptions are correct for the later cheque backs.......
Without seeing the ts + cs no-one on here can confirm any assumptions!
When you do get the ts + cs, check what it says, it may contradict what you were told on the phone as they may not actually want the 6th bill at all.0 -
I will read up on it tomorrow when it arrives and double check with you guys. thanks for the help.0

morning guys,
woah, not a good start. I got the phone today and read the "your offer explained" doc first.
at the top it says "redemption in 4 parts of 114.3"
further down the page at the "important: your cheque back offer informaiton"
it only says "bills sent to Car' Warhouse Claim at 6, 8 and 12"
Do I need to call them up and get the to send me a new copy with the right details?
I just spoke to the sales online again, she confirms that it is actually 6, 8 , 10 and 12. She says if i need another copy I need to call customer services.
Is this the right address for the cashback claims?
Cashback Claims
PO Box 8840
3R House
Belton road
West Ext
Loughborough
LE11 9EL
When the time comes, is this the correct words to write on the form?
Transation number = the number on my "your offer explained" letter right at the top right hand side corner
Cashback Claimed = value of cash back, however many xxx pounds
Mobile Number = my mobile number?
Also, because i stupidly bought over the phone, I dont have a log in to www.mycashbackclaim.co.uk
Do I really need this website? What is on the site that wil help?
Also quentin, I asked what my 6th bill would be and she said it would be the november bill. Do you think shes right? She did say to call the cashback claims team to double check once i get my 4th bill.
I called this number 01509610888 and they said that i need to send my 6th bill no longer than 28 days old and therefore it is the november bill again.
are they lying to me or are they right?
Is it ok to open the sim and phone?0 -
You will get bill no 1 in May, so the sixth bill will come in October.
Only you can decide between your two options - accept the phone and try to establish what are your correct ts + cs, or cancel now, start again (on line) and get everything right before you start.0 -
Hi Quentin,
thanks for your reply again. thanks to everyone thats reading this as well
they mentioned that my first bill will come in a few weeks.
assuming that my month is from the day i signed up for the contract to the same day the following month, my first bill should be for 12th May - 12th June.
Therefore
1st bill = 12th May - 12th June
2nd bill = 12th June - 12th July
3rd bill = 12th July - 12th August
4th bill = 12th Augest - 12th September
5th bill = 12th September - 12th October
6th bill* = 12th October - 12th November
7th bill = 12th November - 12th December
8th bil*= 12th December - 12th January
9th bill = 12th January - 12th Febuary
10th bill* = 12th Febuary - 12th March
11th bill = 12th March - 12th April
12th bill* = 12th April -12th May
I argee with you fully and believe you are correct, however, do you think that is what the people at e2save ment as well?
when i call again tommorow when the lines are free, do you know how i should phrase my sentence so i can get them to confirm the 12th October - 12th November bill is the bill that should be sent?
i just read the tc & cs and from their example, it looks like the bill should be 12th - October - 12th November, since it is the 6th bill.
"Instalment 1 - You will need to claim by sending the bill dated 6 calendar months from the month that you received your handset and you have 60 days from this date to submit your claim. Send us your claim form and monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected to. (This bill must be no older than 60 days when we receive it and have no balance brought forward.)
i.e. if you purchased on the 1st of April 2008, you need to send in a bill that is dated within September 2008, your claim window is 60 days from the date of that bill.
Please note: You will be required to send your bills within defined date ranges based on the date your handset was connected and despatched. When you place a successful order these dates will be detailed in ‘your account’ linked on our website."
Can someone please confirm I am correct with the following assumption.
6th months from my purchase date = Novemeber (therefore when its November 12th, I should proceed with my first cashback)
6th bill = 12th October - 12 November (therefore this should be sent with the claim form in orginal copy)
very much appriciated, thanks in advance,
toothy0 -
It is no good phoning them. They won't stand by a telephone conversation.
You need to get it in writing.0 -
Which document are you refering to? I must have it with the documents they sent it with.
But from the documents i have referenced above, if it is the 6th bill, 6 months after my purchase,
After november 12th, I send them my '12th october - 12th november' bill right?
anyone thats done a cashback, your confirmation will be greatly appriciated0 -
I wasn't referring to any particular document.
I wrote this:It is no good phoning them. They won't stand by a telephone conversation.
