Just got a contract with e2save over the phone. Doing it right so for? Advice please

Hi all,

I’ve just bought a contract over the phone from e2save with o2.

It is this one

http://www.e2save.com/o2-mobile-phone/MOTOKRZR-K1-Blue-Clearance-Best-Seller/K1BSCLPR

I’ve asked what my cheque back dates. They are the 6/8/10/12 month and my first one will be in November. (I will call back which bill that is specifically)

I’ve also ported my old number to this contract. I read that some have had to copy their first bill together with the specfic bill for the cheque back when sending for cheque backs to prove that it is the same number. Do I/Will I need to do this too? Is my position different as I told them when I was getting the contract?

Since I bought it over the phone, I have no t&c from the internet to copy. Am I safe with the ones that come through the post tomorrow?

I understand that I need to cancel the insurance and gadget line within the first month as well.

Are there any other things I should be aware of?

I also just got a text from ‘o2 alert’ saying the following

“Go to www.o2.co.uk and enter your verification code xxxxxx when requested to enable you to use text services”

What is this for? I never knew I had to active text services, is this the free online text service they are talking about? If not, do I open a new account on the o2 website and at some point I enter the verification code?

Thanks in advance for all help and advice, I very much appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Toothy

    You got it wrong!

Moneysavers don't take contracts out with e2save over the phone!

You should do it online - then you can print everything out at the point of purchase, so should arguments develop in future you have a hard copy that can't be argued with.

Not to mention the £50 cashback via quidco.

Ouch! Literally felt a blow to the stomach from you Quentin lol.

I thought ordering on the phone would bite me in the a**. I did it because of convenience. (Feel stupid now)

I will be sent the contract tomorrow. Is that copy not strong enough if arguments develop in the future?

I will be getting a contract for my partner next month. How does the quidco deal work roughly? Do I literally, order via the hyperlink from quidco and I will get cash back?

Also, any tips on ensuring I get my cashbacks please?

    Thanks in advance.

Why not cancel and start again?

You'll find lots of tips to ensure your transaction tracks on the quidco site.

Will the cancellation take time? my PAC code expires on the 13th (Tomorrow)

Also, will the £50 from quidco take much effort to obtain?

The cancellation will take time - but you can get another PAC and just start again.

You don't have to do anything apart from use quidco, (sign up with them first), to link through to e2save.

o2 customers get free texts via their website, so that code must be to set yours up.

    Thanks Quentin for your answers.

If I get another PAC code it will cost me £35 and my current contract is rubbish with 3, 250mins 200 text. I guess I'll skips quidco this time.

Thanks for tell me about what the code is for.

If they ask for the 6th bill for the first cash back. Considering my contract will start tomorrow, do I send them the November bill?

She said the first bill is put forward by one month or something and has confused me.

    £35 sounds a lot for a PAC - who's charging that?

    **********************************************

If they want the 6th bill, then that will come in October.

3, I called them initally trying to hold out a bit longer till i could find a deal which was free and with the minutes and texts i required. However, when i called them they said I will have to give them 1 month notice again, my contract is 35pounds a month, thats how I viewed it.

thanks for the heads up that it is october they want. My first "bill" will be for 13th May till 13th June correct?

Please could you confirm that my following assumptions are correct for the later cheque backs.

    6th - 12th October - 12th November bill
    8th - 12th December - January 12th bill
    10th - 12th Febuary - March 12th bill
    12th - April

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Combo Breaker
For your partners contract also check out Dialaphone (again via Quidco £60). The deals are not always as cheap but their cashback is less frequent and more straightforward than E2save.
