I'm in. how can I get so excited about housework ? lol Maybe I should explain. I have been unable to work for 2.5 years due to illness and house has really gone to the bottom of list fo important things.

After finding that I could follow teh Flylady thread and get some organisation back in my life ( I used to be VERY orginised )

I already have a head start as I have already started kitchen today and got most of cupboard doors done lol I promise I was not cheating just seemed to have spent the day in kitchen :rotfl:

OK you will have to help me out, I see others have copied mondays list into there post, so I just mark them off as I do them , is that right ? Should I also add list of dailies? Sorry to sound daft but all new to me lol I am going to print list off and stick to fridge door to reming me . I hope you all understand my husband thinks I have gone mad :rotfl:

Im in this week.. only up to level 1 probably though still on midwife orders to not do TOO much.

Had a rubbish morning today as was the memorial mass and scattering of FILs ashes. Has hit me harder than the funeral i think as its all sinking in now a month on and not got being overdue with baby to focus on. Spent afternoon taking a slow walk in countryside with OH and baby to help us both try feel better.

Hasnt worked too great though and now really cant concentrate on uni work and once again my stupid OU tutor hasnt got back to me about an extension i asked for (which is what happened last time and i ended up not handing it in and settling for a subsitute) Infact im still waiting to hear back from him about THAT extension and to pass me the notes from the tutorials i asked him for weeks before then... cant even complain about him because theres no other tutors in my area i can swap to i think?!

Anyway fed up & feeling very down so cleaning this week will help as its my therapy.:o

    Hello all
haven't been around for ages as never seem to have time with my new job etc.

we've been doing an ok job of keeping the flat spick and span, DH is pretty good too, despite never lifting a finger when he was back at his mum's! He does most of the washing up, some of the cooking, helps hang the washing up etc and cleans the wooden floors, so i can't complain!

would quite like to get just a bit more on top of things though, rather than waiting til you can really see the dust! will try and follow level 2 this week, and will try and post.

off to do the kitchen now as DH is playing grand theft auto which gives me a headache!! gonna kick him off in 10 mins though so i can watch last night's casualty!

    Evening all

I thought I'd just post on the new thread instead of over on last week's.

Thank you all very much for the hugs - much appreciated - it's hard to believe it's been a year. We took some lovely flowers, they've finally put the plaque on the memorial tablet, and Mum's entry was open in the Book of Remembrance, which you can also view on line. We then drove to Sand Bay and had a lovely picnic, which is what we used to do when we took Mum to take flowers for Dad. Unfortunately, I think I've had a bit too much sun as I feel a bit sick and headachy.

Anyway, welcome to any newbies, I'm sure you'll have fun.
Michelle - well done, Sam, sleeping through!:T
    Raph
    - how's the dog?

Hope everyone else is OK. Count me in for tomorrow, working from home, so will try my best!

Manic Monday - Kitchen, Utility and Dining Room/Area

    Level One
    Clean floors in these areas

    Level Two
    Wipe down surfaces
Wipe kitchen cupboard fronts and kickboards
Wipe down fronts of major appliances (cooker, fridge, freezer etc) and inside the microwave

    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Clean washer drawer, filters on the dryer, dishwasher and cooker hood filters
Clean the oven if missed last week or it needs it

Extra tasks - if you want to do more:

Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps, a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
Empty one shelf (or the top of a cupboard) clean it, clean what's on it and put it all back
Clean out and organize one cupboard, more if you like
Wipe & replace small appliances like kettle, toaster etc (wipe under too, especially the toaster!)

    Night all. x

**waves hi to mrs rach :D** hello there stranger
welcome everyone, newbies and oldies included
    Johanne ((big hugs))
Well done soappie :D what a difference! I think you need to travel the country as our very own super flylady solving everyones chaos (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome)
embb ((hugs)) you probably did your back protecting your tummy
Well done tia and pigpen for the findings.

Speaking of findings I found the 'brain training' game I bought and the 'why am I so disorganised' book again today, I think I should use them :o It's like my friend who got some 'really good memory pills' then couldn't remember what they were called :rotfl:

Evening went great, new BBQ is brilliant, I did my usual way OTT on food etc as usual, think they all enjoyed the treat, I did some posh salad for me and Matthew's Mam as I know she's likes it but like me rarely does it for herself. We got some photos of Matthew today, will see what they're like, might even post one :D he's so lovely, he did have a little 'I'm going to winge and cry at the same time' moment when he usually does at about 7pm but other than that he was great. Going to see if it's ok with the lady who runs swimming for him to come with us. His Mam wants the same patio set ordering as mine so we're sharing delivery costs on the next Wilkos order I make, just let them dump it outside my front door as usual  then take it to her house.

DP recorded Gladiators on Sky Plus so going to watch that now. Kitchens a bit of a tip but not take much sorting, BBQ grills soaking.
One day I might be more organised...........
