Evening all it has been so lovely today, not sure of the forcast for the coming week but I need a bit of rain for my garden and to keep me out of it.

Going it a bit off plan this week and giving each room downstairs a good going over. Leaving the kitchen till later in the week as I rarely miss it.

Tomorrow I am working on the family room/paperwork/filing etc with just maybe a little HHG for some sanity.

Right just about DS3 bathtime and then the ironing awaits me.

    Mixed blessings....

The problem was with the filter, not the pump (hurrah!). But, what had caused the filter to clog up? A ferking hairpin! Once stuck, it holds things back - a bit like a dam. The only person in the house that uses hairpins is DiL. So it's her fault.

But, I'll not be the wicked MiL and chastise her for it. I shall simply look on the bright side which is that I don't have to pay out on the washing machine and the utility floor has had an unexpected wash. Plus the towels I used probably needed washing anyway because i'm not sure how long they'd been lurking in the cupboard under the stairs.

Think positive Soappie - think positive.

  • Thanks Soappie - a reminder that I must look at mine too - will go now..

    Hi everyone

I hope you dont mind me joining in. I am a housewife till the end of summer when I go back to Uni and I need to get this house in order as with all the DIY( We are slowly doing the house up) The place can get a bit of a tip and I hate it. So I am going to do a general tidy up tonight so that I dont have to tidy then clean tomorrow.
